I'm not sure myself on how this random pick really works or the explanations on how they pick numbers, but I take it simply as it randomly generates you a random combination of numbers, it's another way to make it more convenient for those players who do not want to manually select their numbers. This also gives players a quick decision so they can proceed on the game without spending too much time to decide on which numbers to choose.
