‎Who will win the 2026 Ballon D'or? 🏆⚽

[Inwestour]

Kane was leading in many polls, so personally, I think his victory is well deserved. I'm glad that such a talented player has managed to win the Ballon d'Or. It's an incredibly prestigious and important award for any footballer, and Kane can undoubtedly be considered a legend of modern football. So, congratulations to him on winning the Ballon d'Or!

Harry Kane totally deserved the Ballon D'or not only for his extraordinary performance throughout the last season, but for his overall consistency during the last 10 years in Bayern and Tottenham. Lamine Yamal is still very young and I'm sure that he will win the Ballon D'or after a season or two. Mbappe is a pretty consistent player and he would remain a solid candidate for the award in the next seasons. Diving a Ballon D'or award to 39-year old Lionel Messi for his contribution to the national team of Argentina in the last World Cup would've been a bit absurd. Messi has eight Ballon D'or awards and is considered the GOAT in football. He's pretty much OK without having to receive yet another award.

]It is absolutely correct that Messi and Ronaldo have won the Ballon D's multiple times because if I am not mistaken, Messi has won this award 8 times and Ronaldo has won it 5 times. You are also right that Yamal's career has just started and he will have many opportunities in the future but if Mbappé is able to perform consistently then he might be able to win the Ballon d'Or in the coming season, actually, that's right he managed to score 10 goals in this World Cup as well.

Yamal is just 19 and he has a lot of football years in his hands. I am very sure he is going to win, because it ain't normal for such young age to enter the top ballon d'or candidates 3 times in a row, it really crazy.  Messi won his first ballon d'or at 22 years , that's 3 years above Yamals own. Whether people like him or not , he has alot of potential and could surely end up with 2-4 ballon d'or or probably more in his lifetime. I would be really sad if I was Mbappe , he really got close this year but what cost him is the trophy he didn't win. That guy should have gotten like 2 ballon d'or by now based on his consistency  but luck is not on his side. He will surely win it one day, only if Madrid starts winning trophies again.

Possible for him to win it next year because he has started the season in a way that deserves it. All he has to work towards is winning the Champions League and winning the league. Have a massive contribution to the Barcelona team when they win the UCL and the league. There won't be any argument if he wins both trophies and if he plays a crucial role in those titles.

If he doesn't win it next year, nothing stops him from trying continuously.

Before now there have been some levels of skepticism about the winners of some Ballon D'or but this time it is very different because almost every football fans agrees that Harry Kane, is the best and deserving of the Ballon D'or I congratulate him and wish him all the best as he celebrates for himself and england. As for Mbappe, he is also very talented but as it is only one exceptional player can win the Ballon D'or so he should keep up his top level football and I'm sure that will are going to be celebrating him as we are doing for Harry Kane, for now. To win Ballon D'or takes perseverance because many are called but only one will be choosing, Harry Kane, awaited for his turn so should Kylian Mbappe.

Glad Kane won the Ballon d'Or, Mbappe as good as he still has a career ahead of him, he is young enough to be able to take this title with time.
For me it was the right choice, every now and then FIFA manages to make a thoughtful choice without intrigue or lies, I think it was the most transparent and unequivocally welcome choice even for those who do not support Kane (like me).
I'm not a fan but I have to admit, in the face of the evidence, his abilities, his skill and the human relationship in football, 100% deserved.

I never expected Kane to win the Balloon D'or but it's good he did. A lot of persons were expecting Lamine or Mbappe to win it but unfortunately they didn't. Kane has had quite a remarkable football career with the ups and downs.
Lamine is still a young player and we can't use his short time to judge how well he will perform over the coming years. Kane has been remarkable in the past 10 years and his consistency is something that deserves the Balloon D'or.

Exactly, and that is why fans all over world are so happy, once a perfect selection is made in any competition spectators are often happy, Harry Kane winning the Ballon D’Or is well deserved, he is an exceptional skilled player that is very creative and matured, above all he has been consistent over the years both for his country and club, am really happy that the organizers of the Ballon D’Or made a perfect choice this time around, even though it was a tight choice to make because other players performed very well as well but the organizers were able to use certain essential criteria’s to crown him winner, consistency and perseverance is what made Harry Kane to win.

This time it wasn't Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo that won but a fresh player who hasn't win it before was announced as the winner. The way Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo use to win the ballon d'or made it seem as if no other player could ever win it. Harry kane truly deserved to win it, he passed all the criteria that the organisers use to select the best player for the award and harry kane came out top. The organisers would have messed the award if they had been partial while selecting the right player for the award.

I want to believe that i was the only one who noticed the look on lamine yamal face when harry kane was announced as the winner of the ballon d'or Dude couldn't control his emotion as he almost cried, yamal face was so red and his eyes were filled with tears. I think he over happy for harry kane.

Mbappe have a good run up in the last days before the award, on many predictions market, but record doesn't lie and Harry Kane have already made that big difference that was hard for anyone to break because haven't scored 73 goals is something that is impossible for others the beat.

The Bayern record in last season put him in the front line for this competition and indeed he well deserved this award Lamine Yamal was the third to follow on the list he did win an award in young players category.

OFFICIAL: 2026 Ballon d’Or TOP10.

1. Harry Kane 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
2. Kylian Mbappé 🇫🇷
3. Lamine Yamal 🇪🇸
4. Rodri Hernández 🇪🇸
5. Lionel Messi 🇦🇷
6. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia 🇬🇪
7. Ousmane Dembélé 🇫🇷
8. Erling Haaland 🇳🇴
9. Michael Olise 🇫🇷
10. Fabián Ruiz 🇪🇸

Let's discuss

I wanted Kylian Mbappé to win it but since he didn’t win it I’m happy he is ahead of Lamine Yamal this shows he was more deserving of the ballon d’Or more than Yamal.
I would’ve been angry if Yamal won it because he did not deserve it. The only reason why he was even on this list is because of his pr.

In this list, I don’t know why Michael Olise is in number 9, I was expecting to see him in number three or four.
This was a guy who was the best player in Bundesliga last season and also had the highest assist in his league and even in the World Cup and his in number 9 what a fuck.

Yes his consistency was not in doubt but although I was still very surprised he won the Ballon D'or because there were some of other players who was also more consistent last season than him but however it doesn't mean I'm not happy for him because is also a good thing for him to win this award for the first time in his career. You are right about Lamine Yamal because it will only be a matter of time for him but so long as his consistency always remains this way he will surely get there because there might come a season he will not even have much competitors with his contributions.

The list of players from 1-3 are very much deserving of the award, they all did well for their respective clubs and countries and even on a personal level they got what it takes to win it mostly especially for someone like Kylian Mbappe who I think if not for his lack of trophy last season, there wouldn’t be much of a debate about who will win the award. But why is it that this years Balon Dior award looks so different from the others, there’s no clear favorite and I don’t think there’ll be any form of biased voting if not by this time we would have been hearing of a particular club boycotting and not attending the ceremony because their player didn’t win just like the year  Rodri won the award and Real Madrid boycotted attending the ceremony because they feel their player Vini Jnr has been robbed of the award.

The happy winner is Harry Kane, he was very happy, you could see it on his face even though the player isn't very expressive. I was satisfied with this year's Ballon d'Or; this year wasn't as bad as previous years. I thought the criteria they chose for the player were very good. We already know that the fact that a team wins a World Cup doesn't carry that much weight. I've learned that for the nominated player, it's a great advantage to be a league champion, perform well in the Champions League, and, in this case, when the World Cup coincides, score a few goals.

There were a lots of post online and people offline were also saying that Mbappe was ahead of all the contenders but I didn't answer them because all those things doesn't matter because FIFA knew who will win. And I am very sure if they had not award Harry Kane they would have given Lamine Yamal because what disqualified Mbappe big time was the fact that he didn't win any trophy but I wish he had at least one of the big trophy he would have beat both Harry Kane and Lamine Yamal. Congratulations to Harry Kane I mean the dude is very good even when he was in premier league but Tottenham Hotspur was a barrier to him.

Harry Kane winning the Ballon d'Or was well beyond deserved. He had an incredible season, scoring more goals than matches played in the Premier League—one of the toughest leagues in the world—not to mention he did great at the World Cup too. Now it's all about keeping up that level to win the Ballon d'Or again in 2027, and he has everything going for him, he's been playing lights out lately

From the categories used to vote, Harry Kane have a more balanced number and for me he his the most deserving person to win it. He have trophies, goals and Also a very good World Cup campaign. The wait for Mbappe and yamal still continues. I still feel both yamal and Mbappe will definitely get their hands on the award soon, it only a matter of when.

My problem on the top 10 listed players was Michael Olise on the 9th place, that really unfair, the young man had a very good last season, he have the most assist in all the competitions he played in and Also score good numbers of goals. Beside that it was a good one from the Award officials.
