I am having a lot of trouble getting rented ant miners to connect today and yesterday.
I tried a few on port 3333 and some faster miners on port 3334 without much luck.
These normally work very well.

I saw the hash rate jump to the PH/s range for a short while, but then back down again.
All of the rented miners are getting low hash rates and eventually dropping the pool.  The rig admins are furious with me and asked me to switch pools.  However, I would rather mine at mmpool.org with a lower hash rate.

I sent a private message to mmpool here at the Bitcoin forum, but did not see a reply yet.
If you know a more reliable way to reach the admin, please inform the admin that it may be time to restart the pool again.  Or, do whatever fixes it when it behaves this way.

nice hash forces  you to use the mmpool.org:3334  address but tends to be cheaper then the others.

I do a few rentals of 0.010 btc each jump

Still not connecting.  I can guess it is not only me since we have only 2 TH/s on this pool now.
I tried contacting the pool admin, but I have not received any reply.

It is still intermittently broken and holding me back.  I saw some PH/s come and go, so I might not be the only one held back by this problem.
I think it is a problem with the variable diff.  It works for some rigs and yet other instances get a diff that is too high or too low and it never adjusts into place.
I couldn't find a way to specify the diff required for the rig or I would just set that.
I still haven't had any response from mmpool : not here, not through private message here either,  and not via email.

It has been quite a while since the pool had a restart I think.  But, last time this problem showed up, that was the fix.

I got a rental going from nicehash  via the europe server it is working .  I am doing  1.6 ph for about 2 hours

try nicehash port 3334  eu server
