another coin would be nice  I am on 3 exchanges just to do the coins here.  I think I am on 6 or 7 exchanges . Hopefully I do not need another exchange

If I may ask, do you use the exchanges as "wallets" to receive payouts from this pool, or is it necessary to have separate wallets (and software) for every coin?

I've been thinking about using the pool.

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I use them as wallets as the coins do not directly go to them.  They go to holding wallet and can withdraw to an exchange at your manual withdrawal click.

Where do I find technical details about the coin? Specifically mining algorithm, difficulty change period, maximum number of coins, how the mining subsidy is computed, etc? Most of what I find is mentioning an scrypt based coin called syscoin - I assume syscoin2 is sha256.

The diff is same as bitcoin just different params, I kept things as standard as possible, just 1 minute blocks. Mining subsidy is in GetBlockSubsidy (we are still finalizing details), max coins is 900 million (used to be 2B).

github.com/syscoin/syscoin2 is the github, let me know what specific information you require.

There is software that will parse the merge mined headers, thats all you really need and change the block to 1 minute. Difficulty algo is default, not sure what else a pool needs.

        consensus.nPowTargetTimespan = 1 * 24 * 60 * 60; // 1 day
        consensus.nPowTargetSpacing = 1 * 60; // 1 minute

You can get the params in chainparams.cpp

mmpool, I have devcoin, unobtanium and namecoin mining to my account. Can you take those balances from my account?
I'm not sure what you're asking - do you want to donate those amounts? Or are you asking how to withdraw?

donate to you.

Okay vircuex.com has killed off dvc

My DVC account with them has earned 2mill plus coins since 2013

This is about 167,000 DVC or around    .007 BTC

So if you are earning the DVC  do not send it to vircurex.

I will get back to let you know if they refund me the 0.007 btc or 167,000 dvc

To Be Fair here is the Notice and I missed it:

Announcements

2016-04-05 DVC Delisting on 4th May 2016
The lack of DVC network hash power puts it at risk against double spend attacks. Hence we will decommission DVC on 4th May 2016. With immediate effect, deposits are no longer possible.

Okay vircuex.com has killed off dvc

Where is everyone else sending their DVC now? I was using vircuex.com also and am glad I didn't send anything there since they stopped deposits.

Thanks for the heads up! I would have gotten screwed by this.

Sadly, bter only exchanges with CNY, so that is not really an option (It is interesting I had an account on their site that I forgot about, probably for some other obscure coin. Fortunately I had no balance there that I forgot about).

So, it looks like safecex is the only viable option. Unless it turns out to be bad for some reason. I'll look into it also.

Well  it would be stupid for them to fuck me the 167,000 DVC  it is only 0.007 btc.

I have used them for more then two years and have paid them close to 0.5 btc  in fees.

So to steal 0.007 btc and no longer get up to 0.500 btc in fees  over then next 2-3 years would be truly stupid business move on their part.

Not that I have not seen Crypto coin companies be stupid. So far they have not replied and the DVC is

still in the account

Is it not safer to send you dvc to a wallet you control the private keys to ?
This seems rather obvious to me but then you can send the coins anywhere anytime !!

This seems rather obvious to me but then you can send the coins anywhere anytime !!

would not have helped  here is why.

So I accumulate them for a longer time.  then send to cash only 2 exchanges for dvc and  had been using vircurex for years.

so instead of 3 or 4 sends totaling .the 167,000 coins I would have done a send of 167,000 and same problem.

Like i said 167,000 = .007 btc.   so under 3 usd.

if vircurex never answers me about this I stop using them.

they have made .5 btc maybe more in fees from me in the last 3 years.

so if they want that 0.007 dvc soooo  much they are willing to lose .5 btc in fees the next few years it is simply bad business on their part.

BTW I know you did some Groupcoin work

  does anyone exchange that coin?

There were a few minutes of downtime just before due to a process crash. I've resolved this and the pool is operational again.
