may be but we don't earn from it. I could be wrong we need to ask the op.
It's still mined for network support. There is so little transactions on the ixcoin network that the number of transaction fees is minimal. These are not distributed at this stage. If they get large enough I'll change things so they distribute. As an indicator of how small this is, the pool finds one ixcoin block every few days I think and the last 20 or so blocks have had no fees at all. So we'd be talking about a couple of ixcoins every few months if that distributed amongst all miners.

thanks for the info.  I get a bit of them for a gift from another pool so the chain does work for them.

There were a few pool restarts today, of a few seconds each, as I traced and fixed an issue with two of the altcoins. Groupcoin and Unocoin were clashing due to the chain id's picked for the coins and groupcoin was getting a lot of stales as a result (unocoin was overwriting groupcoin's slot in the aux work merkle tree). I've corrected this on my end and both coins are hashing again correctly. I also defragmented the groupcoin and ixcoin wallets which should make large withdrawals more reliable.

funny thing I never heard of Group Coin back in the day....

saw it recently since i never signed up for it on mm pool

thought it needed a windows wallet, since linux only coins don't usually go very far

posted it to the coins thread but likely few may ever see it there,

note it is untested, i have no coins and no real serious hash power to hAsh a block

linux compiled ok i just cleared up a few things to make it compile in windows

Wallet > https://github.com/cinnamoncoin/groupcoin-1/releases/tag/GRouPcoin

2hhJ2BN82oBZuFfHdSNE8Ehja8jMhxtjjkf

exact source i built it from changed a few lines total of the github repo i forked based on an 8.x i0 coin

https://github.com/cinnamoncoin/groupcoin-1

Note post edited 6-30-15 with updated url / Repository was renamed properly !!

Note post edited again July 1 2015,  big hug to mmpool for pointing out a minor error in the repo I used to build wallet...........all is corrected now........was quite a few of them out there.............

mmpool directed me to the right one  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Greetings mmpool & miners,

I use my own p2pool node for merge mining multiple coins, and would like to add your pool as a backup/failover pool. Before I register with my addresses, I was wondering if you are planning on adding any other altcoins any time soon? Particularly HUnterCoin & WorldLeadCurrency, as it would be nice to have the same coins here as well as on my node.

Thanks guys  Smiley

Yes, there was approximately 10 minutes of downtime while I did some software upgrades. The pool worked fine during the BIP 66 switchover today and was mining on the correct chain. I took the opportunity once that was confirmed to install some fixes for upcoming bitcoin vulnerabilities that are being announced in the near future.

What problem is this? if it's the BIP 66 switchover issue that a couple of pools had then mmpool didn't have a problem there.

edit: Another question. how to fix the difference betweem (dgm + pps) and real reward?
Can you explain what you mean here?

Ok good thanks

Im wondering right now on the pool DGM estimate + PPS = 24.03676411 + 3.55900802 = 27.59577213

27.59 BTC is way more than normal block.

Does that mean that DGM estimate will change when we find a block ?

Thanks

There is zero chance he/she lost/loses 14.59 BTC operating the pool. If so, I have a bridge I will sell to the pool op..... Cheesy Also, look into multipools for actually making money on a consistent basis.

The pool is overall running at a loss but this is due to past pool parameters. Mostly:

  • The pool was entirely PPS. In runs of bad luck it racks up losses pretty fast. The current profit/loss counter was reset when the pool switched to DGM but it still went to a loss due to the other reasons below
  • The pool used to pay out orphans. It had a bad run due to connectivity issues and a bug which the pool paid out on as it wasn't the miners fault
  • Even with DGM bad luck can result in a greater than 25BTC payout. DGM parameters used to be that the payout could be up to 35BTC. They've since been adjusted so the range is less wide. This was done when the PPS portion of the pool reward was enabled

Most of this was before my time as main admin of the pool.

There is a DoS attack ongoing on the pool at the moment. The IP has been null routed by my service provider. You should be able to continue to mine on the backup domain and on the tor address.
