when scrypt went thru the roof not long ago i decided to rent a bunch of A2's to join the party. all of em were west-US, so i pointed to westhash.com, workers were reconnecting every 10-15min which drastically cut the profits. then i switched to nicehash.com, reconnects were every 40-60min, acceptable. i don't know what that means, just reporting...
Can anybody confirm that pointing your rig to nicehash instead of westhash solve the problem? Thanks

Sorry if this has been already asked, but I have a problem with dynamic diff adjustment on whirlpoolx algo. I'm setting it at 1 in the password field and it works fine, but at times it gets reset to 0.004 leading to tons of shares: stratum disconnects or changes the diff leading to a good amount of rejects. I believe that happens when my workers get assigned to a different order. It's like the diff setting doesn't stick when the price changes. Any way to fix this?

Unfortunately not, please see the "Note:" in this FAQ: https://www.nicehash.com/?p=faq#faqs9. Also, read appendix C) in this FAQ: https://www.nicehash.com/?p=faq#faqg3

@nicehash I've had a balance over 0.005 for 3-4 days. Has something changed since I did not receive a payout yet? At this FAQ https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqs5 , it's states: "...Every fourth payment (once per day) is issued if balance is greater than 0.004 BTC...."

I have some workstations sitting idle over the weekend at my workplace, can someone suggest which algorithm would be best for CPU mining at nicehash?

I don't think you should use CPU to mine but if you have some GPUs, you might get some. I recommend multialgo when mining with CPU/GPU. https://www.nicehash.com/?p=multialgo

I think the only algo on nicehash where cpu hashrate is comparable to gpu is lyra2re (cpu can do about 500, an r9 290 can do about 1700). Unfortunately very little or no orders...

Understood, problem is that workstations do not have a dedicated GPU (you are not supposed to play 3D games at work!) Will look into that lyra2re algo though.

I've been mining with Nicehash for a while now using Eligius. Eligius don't give miners the option to set difficulty but this has never been a problem until now. Suddenly my orders have all crapped out because it says the difficulty is 127.9980. 0.002 short of the minimum. Why is this? Something sounds a bit fishy? Is there an issues between Eligius & Nicehash???

We were forced to up minimum diff for SHA256 due to bad/slow controllers on modern fast ASICs that are not capable of working with low diffs. Because there is not much difference between 128 and 127, we have changed min diff to 127 now.

It just gets the ball rolling because the difficulty shoots up to over 8000 once a few miners are on board.

Good Wolf posted a new kernel for the miner and whirlpool with a good speedup, but the miner does not work with other algorithms. How to adapt it for multi algo? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=632503.3400

Is it me, or are the SHA Orders stuck. I haven't seen my order change (speed - stuck at 12TH, remaining BTC, etc) for the past few hours and it only briefly showed up on my pool a few hours ago before dropping out poolside while stats on WestHash are stuck at a high TH rate. I've had no problems with fixed and standard orders in the past, but today it's been stagnant for hours.

Stats are broken due to issues on WestHash - WestHash is currently off - server hoster issue. Stats may not be correct, but balances are (you can notice your balance increasing). Orders on NiceHash are working fine. Is it me, or are the SHA Orders stuck. WestHash is not working currently, no miners are connected to it and orders are not being worked on - balances of orders on WestHash are intact/unchanged. When we put WestHash back on, you will be able to continue managing orders there. We suggest you to temporarily use only NiceHash until this is fixed.

WestHash is now back on-line, sorry the downtime but we had to resolve issues on our provider's infrastructure and also apply a few updates. Graphs (stats) are broken for the duration of WestHash downtime.
