UPDATE: There was an attempt to fix the issue by replacing RAM. No luck. The issue is still there. Now looking into other options. It may take an hour or two.

UPDATE2: The problem happened at EU marketplace location. We also took down USA marketplace (nothing wrong there). Because orders eventually run out and low paying orders come in play, miners usually do not want to work on these. Offline service redirects your miners to your backup pools (if you have them configured).

 look correct in bitcoin but are exactly one half what they should be in $ (hash rate is correct)

We are getting exchange rate data from 3rd party API and sometimes it just freaks out.  
Also, if it happens again, calm yourself by checking on your bitcoins, since you get paid in them and not in the USD (yet, at least  ).

Front-end shutdowns due to maintenance are fine, as long as they are planned. I think you should consider sending a notice in advance when you plan to do so. During maintenance, there is no way to stop orders even when they are not profitable anymore, hence a loss of money...
