Technically this could be a thing, but it would drain your battery super fast, and it wouldn't really be useful because of that.

Like, you know how when you use your smart phone and you are connected to the internet, or 4G your battery drains faster? Or when you're playing a game on your phone your battery drains faster? Well, staking uses your phone's CPU AND the internet connection or 4G, which means you're battery will drain HELLA fast. So, not really a useful app unfortunately.

Sure, we could build a mobile client which stakes (probably anyway), but it would kill your battery in 20 minutes, and therefore would be pretty pointless.

Dam, i believe we always knew this one a huge problem to any new comers in any coin, to download the entire block chain, and we also new that this problem would only increase as time goes by, if you wanna to be a real currency then you need exactly this, be able to used withing minutes and not hours, is nice the devs are facing the current cyptocoins problems we dont see.


I think another problem would be to any normal folk is the fact there are sooooo many coins which one he is going to pick ? the more with more flashy lights and colors, a lot ppl know about bitcoins but alt coins ? nobody, a huge let down, sure you can buy an coin and go to an exchange and trade your coins mostly for bitcoins, normal folks dont know this, they dont know how to use exchanges, if panda bank made possible to transfer pnd to any other coin that normal folk would use the pandabank.



Also an Cloud Staking wallets/banks could have emerge when the chain block would have unreasonable gb amount of size, no body wanna lose their stake and nobody wanna download a "car" even more that you can stake with your pi.

but if you wanna do something to create awareness one could print out paper wallets or ads and scatter them or post them on bulletin boards and stuff in crowded places. People would be interested seeing as how bitcoin took off. The more awareness the easier it'll be to transition into mass acceptan.

With the upcoming crowdfunding platform, we will also be releasing a dedicated forum section where the community could discuss and propose different projects for us to put up to the new platform and have it crowdfunded using PNDs.

With that I'll be one step closer to push PND to my not-so-nerdy friends... The volatility of price related to BTC price and market manipulations is still a drawback (they're mostly over 30-40 years old and pretty conservative on some aspects).
The "cloud staking" approach would pose more security and reliability problems... I like my coins in my pocket, sort of speak.

On a visual cue of the quoted post: I wonder what creature will be pandificated for the next release... Ants? Bees? Or something larger, like elephants?
