on a more serious note, i agree with what you say about awareness of the general public
I trust the PND devs have a trick or two up their sleeve to address this issue

but if you wanna do something to create awareness one could print out paper wallets or ads and scatter them or post them on bulletin boards and stuff in crowded places. People would be interested seeing as how bitcoin took off. The more awareness the easier it'll be to transition into mass acceptan.
