TWITTER

Some one on the dev team with strong twitter/crypto cred should reach out to IconicExpert and those guys to explain what Panda is, what's going on, that there's no IPO, pre-mine, scam etc.

Now is a good time; the big ICOs they were behind (Neos, Syscoin & Clustercoin) all went to hell.  The only one that didn't dirtdive is Xcloud and that's dropped down to just a percent above the ICO price with no volume.  Vootcoin completely melted down into nothing.

Everything else is just treading water or is an obvious 48 hour pump and dump (Halycon or Raw).

If Panda gets up to today's Dogecoin level in price anyone who is in now will be rolling in money; now is the absolutely best entry point and I think the Twitter guys would jump on it.

They have huge followings in the crypto world and in the non-crypto world so this will spread word about Panda everywhere.

This should be a constant (although non-spamming effort).  Crypto people have the attention spans of Mayflies.

Absolutely not. IconicExpert represents everything bad in crypto (i.e. pumping coins for his own benefit and no one else)

Do not get him involved, he kills coins.

You are promoting hype, which is a terrible idea. We want exposure about what PND actually is, which is not a get rich quick scheme.

Hello,

I bought some PND back at the beginning of the year. Now, when I try to sync I seem to get stuck on block 138473, approx 4 weeks ago. I'm running Mac OS X 10.7.5.

Could someone please respond in plain English (I ain't no tech-head Smiley which wallet version I should be running and if I need to make any tweaks once the correct wallet is installed.

Thank you in advance,
K

Current version is v2.0.2

thepandacoin.org for the current wallet.

Remember to backup wallet.dat before updating. Smiley

To see your current client version go to 'help' > 'debug window'

Once again, backup wallet.dat

Crypto was created to liberate the individual. Decentralisation matters.

Rethinking Digital Currency

Bitcoin, the world’s first decentralized digital currency, was launched in 2009. It was the prototype that introduced and demonstrated to the world the potential benefits and usages of a decentralized digital currency. However, digital currencies are still in their infant stages and have yet to see widespread mainstream adoption and usage as a unit of exchange both online and offline. There is a need to rethink the current approach to the design and marketing of digital currencies in order to achieve a global mass appeal.

August 30th

On the 30th of August the Pandacoin (PND) development team will unveil and release the highly anticipated set of major development updates to Pandacoin. The founders, developers, and architects of Pandacoin (PND) endeavor to redefine the current space with this set of major development updates, and be positioned to become the future digital currency of choice for the masses.

[16:38] <+Ozzke> i'm looking forward to 1 million users
[16:39] <+Ozzke> open CMC, look at the top 20 coins
[16:39] <alt-walker> how are we going to accomplish that?
[16:39] <+Ozzke> a lot of them have barely any volume
[16:39] <+Ozzke> no volume = no economy
[16:39] <+Ozzke> or other way around Tongue
[16:39] <+Ozzke> no economy = no volume
[16:39] <+Ozzke> so you need to stimulate the economy
[16:39] <+Ozzke> make people use the coin
[16:40] <alt-walker> how do we force them
[16:40] <alt-walker> lol
[16:40] <alt-walker> I am sure you have thought about this a lot longer than I have
[16:40] <+Ozzke> I sure hope so Tongue
[16:41] <+Ozzke> well first of all we want to make the coin easy
[16:41] <+Ozzke> easy for everyone
[16:41] <+Ozzke> easy to understand, use,..
[16:41] <alt-walker> yep
[16:41] <+Ozzke> a lot of misconceptions in the world about cryptocoins
[16:41] <alt-walker> I agree there
[16:42] <xLop> well i'm making my ecommerce website
[16:42] <xLop> but not rdy yet
[16:42] <alt-walker> so people will need to see an advantage by using pnd rather than usd
[16:42] * icantbecool (~icantbeco@mail.bdtrust.org) Quit (Quit: Computer has gone to sleep.)
[16:43] <+Ozzke> we, the devs, don't set targets for a marketcap, or a price per coin
[16:43] <xLop> after you will be able to buy socks with PND coins Smiley
[16:43] <+Ozzke> we set a globalcap as cadexn calls it
[16:43] <+Ozzke> of how many people are using it.

Just sharing the vision with people not currently following on irc Wink

More users will bring more value anyway, good to focus on community

When a coin has been around for months... And is still very active.. Community wise... Development wise.. There is absolutely no point in getting a POD rating... Since they already proved themselves for months Wink

PoD is not really necessary since all you have to do is go to IRC or been around for the past 3 months to know the devs are real.

Pandacoin-Official is someone who most of us know since before the PND launch. We all sort of made PND but Pandacoin-Official was the catalyst.

This is a good idea; it just re-assures new people.  All of us who've been around know the devs are real.

Also, FYI the Clustercoin dev refused to give POD and vanished after the ICO instadump.  People will be thinking about that if Panda just refuses to provide one.

FUDsters will ride that horse until it dies.

Best to just get one ...

I think "that horse" is more like an amoeba... there's enough POD on this thread alone, and if one bothers to check the IRC channel...

Orbitcoin (ORB) -- oRMG7Fdft6YiQbn9p9rZpo8VNab9gU3bv4 , OKcash (OK) -- PTiT97X9GkxESiWnpAHA5j46Wb7wz9zdTu ,

POD is a dumb trend or gimmick that only coins with ICO or IPO needs to reassure their community that the devs are not scammers. And look they advertise Razorcoin T-shirts on the 2nd slide of the page. Biased much?

If anything it should be 'Proof of Development', which we will get as long as our devs pull off a successful August 30th launch.

Remember our target market beyond the bitcointalk market...devs are clearly aiming to reach beyond this land of fudding and retards that buy into coins with features that OUR TARGET MARKET won't give a s**t about. This is clearly one of them.

Proof of Development is all I need.

For us in here or part of the "crypto community" this is true.  For the people from the general public Panda wants to target, they'll stumble into Bitcointalk, see the 5 red shields and feel OK to see if this new Panda coin stuff really works at the grocery store like that guy at work says ...

People like that will run for the hills if they wander onto a forum page full of FUD unless they can say to themselves, "Well, that Asian fellow says Panda is alright and the computer nerds at work say if that guy gives his mark then there's nothing to worry about.  Kind of like Carfax and that Gecko guy.  These negative nellies must just have a problem or something. I'm going down to Panda Express and use my Panda coin to get some potstickers gosh darnit. Can't believe this is really money."
