Nice!. Hopefully I will soon be getting the same kit. Thinking about a Coolmaster 1,200w PSU but for now have a 1,200w HP server PSU coming tomorrow (much cheaper btw) to poke around with and figure out until my 520 comes in.

Query: do I need any 4-pin Molex (+5 & +12v) for anything? The server PSU can feed 5v @3a if needed.

On the temps: 65-70c on the chip sinks? Toasty but not unreasonable. For 'official' specs on the A1 chip I refer to Bitmine's Github site. https://github.com/bitmine-ch/bitmine/blob/master/Specs/CoinCraft%20A1.pdf
p1 is the quickey specs, p. 13 is power and temp specs.

What do the chokes on the board read? On my Ants they are the hottest things @ 75c in a slow/dead air zone, around 40-50 in an airstream. Chokes can easily take up to 140c or better but - caps sitting next to them are not so happy...

Got a thermocouple to poke between the big heat sink fins opposite where the chips sit? Be interesting to know the ΔT between the sides...
all you need is x amounts of the 6 pin or 6/8 pin connectors used for gpus for your blades, the 24pin motherboard connector and a floppy drive connector for the pack plane.
if you have sata cables or molex cables you wont need them so to speak. but you may be best off getting some fans to run off the molex/sata cables and place them to the rear of the cage in a push pull style to give good cooling to the back chips. for the top board you WILL need some sort of fan as there is not a great deal of n/a cooling they sit around 60-708c with the fan.
definatley monitor the temps as you run.
These use the 24-pin mobo connector?  Interesting. A fair amount of total +12v power is available there... Kinda sounding like a regular PSU is better to save a bunch of wiring with the mobo connector but I do have all the pc connectors needed if I'm ambitious. Guess I could use the server PSU for some of my Ants.

Finally got home from vacation.

I got my shipment on Friday.  Took some photos:

(image removed to save space)

Anyway... was going to to test each individual board to see if some of them were okay.

Unfortunately, AMT DID NOT BOTHER TO SEND ME A BACKPLANE!

I'm really dead on the water here.  Not only are 2-3 boards damaged,  I don't even a backplane to test the 2 other boards that may have survived their shoddy shipment.

How can they send $6,000 worth of equipment without even having a check list of what they need to include!

I've sent them a message today, but got no message back.

AMT Miners you said you would send Fedex to pick up this damaged miner on Monday. No one came to pick it up. I am an honest person and would just like my money returned. I am tired of these and ready to take another route. Please just send me the refund, this is a sloppy way to do business.

ROFL!!! Sad to say but it seems we are not alone in the FedEx Football games... From the Antminer s2 forum I proudly present https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=515448.msg6098348#msg6098348
And not all is exactly well in that camp either re:performance.

I still have not heard any updates regarding my order #899 since they told me Wednesday of last week that I would receive tracking info either Thursday or Friday of last week. I decided to give AMT the benefit of the doubt when I heard of other lawsuits transpiring against them - part naivete, part hoping they turn things around. The latter obviously has not happened.

I am therefore giving AMT until Wednesday of this week (April 16th) to contact me with an update regarding my order AS WELL AS tracking number(s) for my two 1.2 TH/s miners before contacting my attorney to pursue legal action. I am tired of writing unanswered emails, ignored posts, and making fruitless phone calls during normal business hours. I simply am not going to waste my time anymore on this nonsense.

What happens next is up to you AMT.

In my case, it has reached critical mass. I read on the other thread they are now accusing customers of damaging equipment for RMA. I take offence to this. I did nothing of the sort. They did not come get the miner on Monday as they said they would.

I really took offense to that as well. How dare they. I wrote them an email about it before I started posting photos of the damage. They never responded and still haven't. Not once did I ask for a refund or RMA. The only thing I have requested is instructions or a diagram or chicken scratch on a fucking napkin. Anything that would give any hint on how to put this pile of shit together and hashing.

I forgave them for being late.
I forgave them for no communication.
I forgave them for not having cases.
I forgave them for not sending a power supply.

And when they send a unit out without any QC or protection during shipping. They play the little bitch victim.

Why would I take everything apart to put it back together half ass to take pictures of me taking it apart again to put it back together properly to take it apart again to put it back together.

Fucking retarded.

AND I start posting pictures so that others can possibly figure out how to get their miners working without sending them back and all they do is get butthurt.

You can follow deleted posts at bitcointa.lk I believe. So the self-moderated function doesn't make it all go away. Also the way many threads DEVOLVE at an ever increasing frequency I don't think it says anything about the fabricator if they use unmoderated or self-moderated. It is probably necessary to start a self-moderated thread right off the bat for Fabricators just to keep things on track especially if things go wrong during fabrication, as this is typical at some point in the production process, and you want to get out the basic information required. The Mods have not really been on top of spam, and off topic posts so you are way better off self-moderating as producer than leaving it to the forum.

Having said all that I am hoping that AMT does get their shit together as there seems to be a lot valid complaints and I hope they can rectify each and everyone of them to the customers satisfaction. We need more companies here that can fix problems when they are created. I wish the customers get immediate resolutions to their issues that is the only way to keep threads "on-point".

AMT Miners please address my concerns. I have an email stating you would have FedEx come pick up this miner on Monday, no such thing has happened. I know another day is nothing to you, but I've been waiting months to have this issue resolved. Please come pick up this gigantic miner, I DO NOT want you to ship another one. I am done talking and joining the lawsuit unless I get a refund ASAP. I am not waiting any longer, let me know today what you would like to do here.

as promised here is a 24hr (slightly over) graph from my miner.
still running smooth with no issues atm.

Locking good mell Wink and working Cheesy

From what i can see the average is around 520GH right just as advertised -
AMT: congrats there is one miner working in the wiled Once again i admit it works Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
10X
If the above is true then
5 blades would be 520 / 3 *5  866 GH
6 blades 1040 GH

To all customers  - you are scammed if you got 5 blades for 1.2 Miner that means you will get 866GH instead
if you got 6 blades by accident  Grin it would be 1040 GH
And the above would be true only if you have the mell luck to receive some crap that works

I am not mentioning the power consumption though Grin Grin Grin Grin

Ask for your money people! Immediate refund!
204+204+204=612ghs this is how the unot should be performing. soooo 204*5 iiiisssss 1020g which is in the nominal mode. turbo mode you would pull about 1.2-3/4 possibly seen as when we put out 700-750 with a lot more room for improvement or so i believe. because these a1 chips all they need is adequate cooling and you can boost the clocks something rotten. check out a1 chip threads or related threads like. coindesk. bitmine. i could see one card doing 4-500gh minimum if cooled correctly.

Agreed COMPLETELY!
BUT AMT CRAP IS NOT PERFORMING AS SHOWN IN THE POOL GRAPH
PERIOD Grin
MELL thre modules are making 520 on average that is damn sure Smiley
that is my miner also. pool graphs especially cex.io are not 100% reliable. nonces stale shares and so on all lower the end hash. its doing the 520 we paid for so were happy for now. we need to figure if its the cooling thats stalling the cards. i.e temp cut offs being reached or if its something else.

agreed it will hash via the cgminer on the pi and it does hash higher towards the 600gh mark.
i just wanted to get one graph up stable out of the box so to speek and work from there.
i will keep you all posted on how its going.

AMT, when i finally got an email replied from you guys, it was from JIM to tell me that my miners will ship that friday. That was two weeks ago.
No more news after that.
