Hello Friends!
First of all, I have to admit that I’m not good in branding and marketing(put it mildly), so I posted notice that project is looking for marketing partner. I am primarily a developer, and in the future I plan to focus more on product development.
Nevertheless, the project will start with this unloved name, and we gonna make rebrendering once we get a suitable person in team.
The reality is that now we just launch project without any marketing, just for those who interested in technical features and i hope we’ll find a good name and good brand for project.
Always need to look bright side - unloved name will not attract a lot of people on first phase and mining will be easier)

The good news is that we've decided to return to the model of donation, reserving for project only 1%, and emission of this 1% will be controlled by miners votes, as it was announced at first. With that we finally closed discussion about monetization.

Due with these changes(i've just merged it to master), the test network was shut down and restarted right now, thanks to all who participated in the testing.

And finally: since there have been many significant changes in the core and fixes a few bugs, I just can not afford to run the network right now. I (hopefully for the last time) shifted the launch by 24 hours, to 17 May: 16-00 GMT. Just need some time for tests.

PS: added workaround to protect from big-transactions flood.

Good points and good decisions. Dev support of 1% controlled by miners is extremely better than 5% automatically.

when I have found blocks and restart boolbd, I get this:
Code:

Please note, that the blockchain will be saved only after you quit the daemon with "exit" command or if you use "save" command.
Otherwise, you will possibly need to synchronize the blockchain again.

cryto-zoidberg,

When launched do we have to rebuild from source or simply delete the block chain?

Cheers

Salute to all those who are still with us!

We are launching a currency with  a lot of major changes, that we believe make this project one of the best in CryptoNote family at the moment, but I want you to understand all the risks arising with such a launch.
We have made great efforts to test new features, fixed some bugs and covered new code by auto tests (where applicable).
However, please bear this in mind for a sober assessment of investment in mining.
I hope that you'll take patience and understanding to the appearance of possible problems(which we will fix asap).

At 16-00 GMT i'll push sources for real network(with real genesis block) to github and upload binaries to website.
After that you are welcome to connect to real, clear network.

I strongly recommend to mine on linux version since gcc code is seems to be faster for this PoW hash.

If you want to set donation mode from command line:
Code:
boolbd --donation-vote=false --start-mining=1GzNVhCAPxhQ21C57hB9GMjmUFStsRpP27SeSP693ZyS7UHY1YzCjSPfBb6nWv894L794QwU6RMqKYu5kY3UNe3zRm5HoxV --mining-threads=1
By default donation vote is set to true.

PS: Don't rush, difficulty will adapt pretty quickly so there will be no instamine.

Download links on the website are broken.
http://boolberry.com/downloads.html

Network state shows activity.
http://boolberry.com/state.html

Wasn't launch supposed to be 1/2 hour ago? Does that mean someone is mining the coin before it's publicly available?

Efxaristo. My mistake. Maybe my time calculation was off because of daylight savings time in the US.

From what I am seeing this is a truly anonymous coin right from the start right? (not like the would be anonymity of Darkcoin).

This is a real launch or a testnet launch?

Will a new windows binary be posted at launch?

Let's go.
If the network fill not fail within a week, we assume that the launch was successful.

It's real network launch(not test), i've just pushed genesis to github and uploaded windows binaries.
You are welcome to mine.

Macos binaries is coming...
