1. how do i get an alias? do i need one for minning?

2. I got one address and I am using 3 rigs to mine with this address. On the minning rigs I run only the daemon, not the walet is that ok?
Aliases are optional. You can commit them to the blockchain by typing
Code:
make_alias yourname ADDRESS
in the daemon and mining a block with that daemon.

CPUs are moderately taxed, about 30% on windows is that normal?
I wrote about it:
I strongly recommend to mine on linux version since gcc code is seems to be faster for this PoW hash.
It's seems than microsoft compiler sucks.

thanks, is it ok to mine with only the daemon without running wallet?

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Yes, if you already generated your wallet.

Pool mining available, or only solo just now?
I guess no.
Considering that this is a blockchain-based pow hash pool minig will be not very soon.

problem is do I stand a chance of getting a block with a combined hash of just 110.000?

or server farms are taking all the coins?

Anyone else having trouble finding a block?

I've been mining since launch with 32 threads and a hashrate of 1648035 and nothing yet.

There are only 116 blocks as for now. So its quite difficult to find a block. And it seems many people are mining. Blocks are coming slow. Not like all the instamined coins out there...

I hope someone improves the windows minning daemon, it is getting about 20% usage.

Is it possible to run the daemon on Knoppix?

If yes could you provide some help to do that?

My CPU usage is 100%. Did you specify the correct number of threads for your CPU?

i.e. boolbd --start-mining [wallet-address] --mining-threads 8
