That BlueCoin dump that just happened over at Bittrex. On the other hand, it is very cheap now but for sure not for long.

My Mac Bluecoin 1.2.1.0 wallet is stuck syncing on block 130647. Anyone else having issues?

Same problem here...
Delete the blkindex.dat & blk001.dat located in  ~/Library/Application Support/bluecoin .

Then try resynchronizing.

Thanks! It's ok now  Smiley

I've been quietly watching & supporting BlueCoin for quite some time now.

As I see it BLU addresses several critical problems seen in Bitcoin today:

1. Mining centralization: Using the ASIC resistant x11 PoW algorithm BLU mitigates the threat of mining centralization, and gives the power back to GPU miners (smaller guys).
2. Drastic Reduction of nodes: BLU uses proof of stake to incentivize balance holders on the network to run full nodes.
3. Vulnerable difficulty algorithm: BLU uses Dark Gravity Wave, allowing it to rapidly adjust to any environment.
4. 51% attack vulnerability: By combining x11 & PoS BLU creates a strong hybrid algorithm that forces an attacker to control 2 chains instead of one, mitigating the threat faced with other single algorithm coins.
5. Slow Confirmations: BLU confirms each new block after 60 seconds with no known vulnerabilities.

I'm going to get more people involved in the BLU community as I see it having some serious promise.

What BlueCoin dump?  Who is dumping and how much was dumped?

I wonder if that's why blue has been on such a bad downtrend while most alts have been going up.

I saw a pretty large dump of over 30 million+ coins from 9/11 to 9/13.

The market absorbed most of the dump and has recovered nicely since then.

Market support is increasing steadily. Over 6 BTC added to the order book in the last 48 hours, sell orders are quickly beginning to disappear.

Make sure you're not unlocking the wallet for "staking only".

This is a common mistake with the BLU wallet that alot of people make.

If you don't uncheck that box it will not allow you to send!

Where is the checkbox to which you refer?  And I see no means to lock/unlock the wallet.

Crossed hammers indicates that I am minting, tho'.

CRYPTONAIRE  :  When you go to unlock wallet for staking..  UNcheck the : for staking only check mark.   Box should be empty.    This is not an aspect on other wallets.    1st time I came across this..    piece

It's like that for most PoS coin clients.

It's an added security feature so that someone can't run with your coins while it's actively staking on your computer.
