Anyone object to using the contest fund to pay a dev or committee if we find one?
There's nothing wrong with the way OC works, just the slow/stuck syncing that I know of.


As the entrusted one with your donations, I wouldn't pay up front without the consent of the community as these are public funds, but I wanted to check with everyone to see where people stand. Give feedback with your comments, questions, concerns, needs, wants, etc, etc. If we don't want to use the fund, that's fine, too.

I had just staked it, so I will report how much is in it once the stakes confirm and clear. Please hold tight while I wait for the network.

I would have no problem with using the contest fund to attract a dev or committee.  Hell, if they are willing to work on adding something interesting to the coin I may be willing to donate some OC to the cause.  I'm not sure the 200k OC the contest fund has right now would draw much interest on its own.

Where is everybody?

They are still here, just sleeping. Besides, btctalk has been down too much lately, haha. I'm sure we lost a few people along the way, it's been 6 months without a dev, but look how well OC is working without him, from the functional aspect point of view. Those few forks were normal for a PoS coin and the system corrected itself as it was designed. Once we get a dev, we can do some PR and rebuild. The contest I had in mind a long time ago which I spent days formulating will no longer work, but that's ok.
