I like your new design, but you should use the ORIGINAL orange logo with "OC" WRITTEN IN BLACK (not white).

I like the theme of the original like a slice of fresh juicy orange, but the text should be clearer.

Can't a person just doodle? haha  I thought it looked cool, so I shared it. I also made that little poster ad, again just playing around with Gimp.

But really, I was only doodling!!! Showing the thread some signs of life while we wait for the MN, something to talk about and look at other than the same old text in a box. I have to get re-acquainted with Gimp anyway. I need to make or get a poster ad made for the MN contest so I figured I'd dust off the mouse on my rig and start playing with some color and see what I could make.

If you guys want a new logo, we can change it. OCdev did mention he wanted to get away from the fruit idea 2 weeks ago when we were talking to a community member via PM's, but it didn't come back up. Themes we've were thinking of when he mentioned changing the logo: future, tech, energy, world, sharp, connections, community, wealth, etc etc. I will say it is kind of hard to think of a new logo. 2 options: color or fruit. Can only do so much with either. I am not by far creative genious nor a professional graphics guy, I can do the basics. cut copy paste minor alterations etc etc. I only have so many hours a day to watch Youtube about Gimp features... haha

So if you guys want to generate some logo's.... let's see them!

not sure if this is what you were aiming for, but I tried. Before I try again, I wanted to see if this is what you meant. Will have to download more fonts as well. Also hard to work on this small of an image. Can't make it bigger, distorts the quality.

I don't like any of them, maybe number 6, but i'll share the images so ppl can see what it would look like... ya know? the logos are 150x150 pixels each. 300x300 is too distorted.

Numbers 4,5 and 6 have the "OC" a little bit smaller.

By the way, I don't know of any hi-res images of the logo we have now, I can't remember where I got the logo in the other forum that's more orange than lemon either. Jim, did you ever find one? you were asking me at one point.
