Is there something I can do to get my pool listed on the announce page of this thread? In fact, the last there seems pretty outdated. Lot of those pools are gone it seems. It's at https://xmr.cncoin.farm maybe not syncron date of you so equals outdate

I updated the OP with his pool, and removed the obviously dead ones I saw. If someone else has more changes/additions, suggest them. I think longer term this is going to go in a page on the official site where pool owners can just PR their own additions.

I suppose you could add the ones listed here that aren't listed in the OP yet (of course don't include the sketchy ones and the presumably bonnets): https://monerohash.com/#networkAs far as I can see, the following pools are missing from the OP: Dwarfpool.com Alimabi.cn Minergate.com Cryptmonero (possibly a bonnet)

If I recall the pool list on the OP was supposed to be a list of some recommended pools for new users to get started, not a comprehensive guide. Recommended pools meaning those that don't have a high share of the network, have a good reputation, reasonable fees, donate to support the project, etc.
Having a complete list doesn't really help the project or the coin. New users just need a way to get on one reasonable pool if they want to pool mine. Of course if someone wants to maintain a comprehensive pool list that is perfectly okay too, but it isn't necessary.
So, I wouldn't consider a pool not being in the OP as "missing".

Does Monero hide all the three: sender, sending amount and receiver?

To clarify, amount is somewhat hidden because it is broken up into pieces, some of which are change and some which are the actual payment, and which are which is not explicitly identified. Sometimes you can infer something or even quite a bit about the amount from this. Of course you can always tell the maximum. As GingerAle indicated once RingCT is integrated the amount will be fully hidden.

Hi people! I downloaded Monero light Wallet from the official site but when I try to run it is not anything going on. A site virustotal generally defines a virus in this file. What should I do? My operating system is 32-bit Windows 7

I just checked on virustotal and the only hit is for: McAfee-GW-Edition BehavesLike.Win32.Suspicious-JAR.rc 20160414 Maybe that's because it's a jar stuffed inside an exe? If you don't trust the exe, run the jar. If you don't trust the jar, you can build it from source or don't use it. I just checked, and even if you don't have simplewallet in the same folder it should still open. Do you have Java installed? You need to have a JVM installed to use the program.

Yes, I have Java installed. JVM and JAVA is the same or not? Yep, they're the same. I think you need at least Java8. If the program isn't even opening, it's nothing to do with simplewallet. Maybe download the jar rather than the exe and see if that works, or if you can manage to get some more useful error message than it just doesn't open.

I don't know what to tell you. I don't have 32-bit windows to test it on, but I've had several other people say that it works for them (presumably on 64 bit windows). Maybe if you launch the jar from the command line you'll get some kind of error message. It's kind of hard to diagnose what the issue is when you just say, "After starting nothing happens."

Does double clicking a jar file work on Windows? Maybe he needs to do "java -jar jarfile" in a command window?

jar should associate with java, it works fine double clicking here. There's got to be some output at the terminal if it's not working. If you're really seeing absolutely nothing when running the jar from cmd, maybe try verbose mode(s) to get some output: https://dzone.com/articles/how-use-verbose-options-java

I tried to run the jar and Exe A command line. Also nothing happens. Please define "nothing happens." Is there an error message, or does the computer simply halt until rebooted, or what? Is your Java dir in your PATH? What does it say if you just enter java (with no options) at the command prompt (in the dir where your jar is)?
