XMR caught me off guard. Never saw it going to the moon like this.
Yeap, same here.

I heard of Monero about a year ago, I never dabbled with it since I was never into any GPU mining, just sha265 and scrypt mining with asic's. I just recently started mining ETH so there is my extent with GPU setups.

The price of Monero is why I'm ~~TRYING~~ to mine XMR.... But I'm just not having any success in getting any mining programs to work in linux ( Ubuntu 15.04 )-- on my third day ( of at least 6hrs each day ), trying to get something to work.
Have you tried the Claymore miner?

Here's the mining thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653467

FBI director says agency preparing attack on data encryption after the elections: wsws.org/en/articles/2016/09/05/encr-s05.html

Note: for some reason bitcointalk doesn't like that link so you will have to add www to the beginning in case that wasn't obvious Wink

Yes, I tried claymore and Wolf-xmr-miner - both would not run. I posted my problem in this message - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=583449.msg16159861#msg16159861

Since both of those miners are winblows .exe programs, I'm thinking it will be something to do with WiNE , the windoez emulator in a linux environment. I have next to zero experience with WiNE. I wish there was a linux miner, not some hack work around using an emulator. That would definitely solve the issue.

Compile it yourself on Linux.

... Fix one thing and another problem pops up....

Those are warnings, not errors.  Anyhow please take it to the mining thread(s).

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day.  Give a man a Poisson distribution and he eats at random times independent of one another, at a constant known rate.

Probably it would be better not to fill the pages of the announcement thread with adverts.

Can we get a consensus on that?

I believe those adverts should be posted in the Altcoin Marketplace so yes, I'm in agreement

Ok, so those are warnings...

Do I need to be concerned about the warnings or will the miner work with them?

Repost over here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=653467.0

And I can try and help more. This is the wrong thread. Thanks

Ahhh, over there ...

ok. Thanks. I'll see if I can delete my messages here to clean it up.

What the hell are you talking about ? I am paying 1100 USD per month for my rent and it is considered cheap for what it is.
It is not because rent are cheap in some countries that the price of Art in other countries should be lowered.
Why kind of logic is that ?

Living from Art is almost impossible, Art should not be cheap.

-----

I agree though that advertising should be made in other sections.
