Hes asking for 34 dollars an hour right? I don't know how experienced and effective of a software developer he is, but if he is experienced and effective that sounds around about a market wage for that line of work. I'm betting this could be contracted out for about half that.

My wife works in food service and shes just so competent her employer pays her twice as much as her peers. Idk whether he is or isn't worth twice as much as some random chinese contractor but he might be.

And it would cost probably 7k or less for that. hello moneroers, i have some xmr, i am waiting xmr price 20$, is it possible?
Everything is possible in a universal perspective.

Everything is possible in a universal perspective. I'd rather have someone who has been around and understands Monero do the work than some random person who doesn't care. People have to make a living and a project like this will take some time. This project will just add to the foundation of Monero as the leading privacy coin. I'll donate some to this fund as I have many others. Over 2 years I have donated to bounties and have been satisfied by the results. Monero as a whole is much further along now than it was back then. Now if we can just get the GUI beta going... LOL

He is the driving force behind the i2p kovri project. I follow the dev meetings on irc and after that there is a kovri meeting. anonimal has impressed me. This project is needed for privacy while connected to the Monero network and will make Monero complete as far as privacy is concerned. I have contributed some Moneroj to this funding request.

I guess it depends where you are and the cost of living. From where I am, it sounds very reasonable (dirt cheap). Especially when you factor all of the volunteer time in. Not exactly a get rich quick scheme for a contributor of his caliber.

My Suprnova XMR account page still will not accept my payment address. I've tried several of my addresses and every time it just says "invalid address"!!! I've been mining there for days now. I wonder if I'm mining for free.

Have you updated your wallet to 0.10 as well? Or only the daemon (monerod)?

In all cases we get the next trouble in simplewallet:
make sure you run monero-wallet-cli, not simplewallet, it's been renamed, so if you run simplewallet you're probably running an old version. Error: transaction <9e2e37247a520f170198ea827ba000eb93460eb481f3a136e69dd05b503985c5> was rejected by daemon with status: Failed [wallet 49UHzL]:
Message in bitmonerod: 2016-Oct-10 18:50:51.028434 [RPC0][on_send_raw_tx]: tx verification failed
make sure you run monerod, not bitmonerod, it's been renamed, so if you run bitmonerod you're probably running an old version. If this persists, then in monerod: set_log 1 And try again. You will get more information about why the daemon is rejecting the tx. It could be a double spend, there were a couple bugs which would cause the wallet to get confused about what's spent. If so, run "rescan_spent" in the wallet.

Imagine if Ilya was a "fanboy" or supporter and not a contracted programmer ... bet we would have had a GUI for quite some time now

It looks unlikely at this point that the project will not be fully funded. I plan to make a donation soon as well. There doesn't seem to be a deadline for the time to receive donation funds, so I imagine Anonimal would continue working as they do now and eventually it would become fully funded. I think if the project is abandoned by the developer, then the donated funds are reappropriated at the discretion of the core team. Probably they would remain set aside for work on Kovri. This happened for example with Trezor (roosmaa started working but quit, then NoodleDoodle took up the project and got the funds, hyc also got the solo miner working after someone else dropped out and got funds, etc).
