As already mentioned, you can not create an asset using secureae. But instead of using the brain wallet, you can also use the lightweight wallet of supernet http://www.supernet.org/index.php
So, you do not need to download the entire blockchain.

hi all, sorry for this newbbie question...

how create a new asset in NXT ? i dont see into secureae.com

or used Nxtlite---> https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/(ann)-nxtlite/   Wink

I like the painting very much. If I would have a larger apartment then I would buy it.

Just for interest; where is the painting located and how do you want to ship it?

This will be a great achievement for the NXT and for all of the crypto once it gets finished. I guess we need just a bit more patience as pretty much everything in crypto does get delayed.

I am happy to announce that NXT will be on a panel at the Barclay's Select Series events on the 15th of September: https://events.barclays.com/ehome/131090/298522/?categoryid=1101963

You will see my name still on the list, but I will be replaced on my request by Nick Grove of NXT2PAY, who will speak about NXT from the perspective of real use cases. Will be changed on the site, soon.

15:10 - 15:50     Panel discussion: Bitcoin and Virtual Currencies move mainstream
Tony Gallippi, Co-founder / Executive Chairman, Bitpay
Nicolas Cary, Chief Executive Officer, Blockchain
Bas Wisselink, Co-founder, NXT Foundation (This will be Nick!)
Tom Robinson, Chief Operating Officer, Elliptic Enterprises Ltd

The good thing about this is that Nick wears a suit much better than I ever could, too!

Regarding the hacking of brainwallets at DEFCON 23 and the death of brainwallet.io, how safe are nxt-addresses when they had their first output?

When brainwallets are hacked that easily then it sounds risky. Though those nxt addresses only can hold something of value once their security was updated with an incoming transaction, right?

So is the brainwallet a risk or not?

Hacking a brainwallet is not different than hacking any password. If you use a secure password it's secure no matter what it protects.

I suggest a Dice Ware password of at least 7 words for passwords that can be tried hundreds of times a second with no server to throttle or lock tries. NXT by default uses a 12 word dice ware type password.

Yes, until the public key is registered on the nextwork, there is a higher probability of "a" pass phrase that gives the same account number but a different pub key. So, before you really put much into your NXT account, make sure your published your pub key by sending to it with a Pub key or registering an alias or doing a send or some type of transaction.

Brainwallets are usually very safe if you choose a strong password. It is recommend to use a password of at least 20 letters, numbers and special characters. I usually use a password of at least 100 chars.

Again: KeePass 2, KeePass 2, KeePa . .  ("auto-type obfuscation", and "safe-desktop login" enabled, and 100+ passwords generated in it)

But don´t start a passwordmanager-contest again now, please, ANY passwordmanager is better than you, and perfect for brainwallets. (i even adressed the keylogger-thing in previous discussions on here)
