And the last one from this round of spamming.... For anyone that missed it, here is Jean-Luc's write up on the GLEFU incident Interesting how far a discussion based on incorrect assumptions can go. There has been no malformed or malicious transaction whatsoever. There is no bug in the AE code.
The only bug was in the calculation of unconfirmed balances for accounts that long time ago had a transaction with referenced transaction set, while having a balance less than 100 NXT. It resulted in those accounts being incorrectly refunded a deposit against their unconfirmed balance, which deposit they never paid in the first place, thus leading to the unconfirmed balance being higher than the real balance. The fix was to start deducting/refunding this deposit only after a certain block, in the past, at a point where this logic was already there.
And since unconfirmed balance should never be higher than actual balance, the RuntimeException is there to enforce this constraint and protect against any future bugs that may lead to such an invalid account state.

Dumb wallet update question ..
When I open my Nxt windows client .. I get the 'prompt' to update to the latest version .. When I say 'OK' I get the following message in my current client ..
"The hash of the downloaded update does not equal the one supplied by the blockchain. Aborting update."
When I check my 'recent downloads' tab on my local computer I have
Java 7 update 55 ( 64 bit ) Nxt wallet version 1.2
Then I go to nxtra.org to download the new windows client
version 1.2.2 includes NRS Server 1.1.5
====
But, I haven't done anything yet ..
My question is ..
Do I uninstall first what I have on my local computer ie
Java 7 update 55 ( 64 bit ) Nxt wallet version 1.2
and then download the new version ??
version 1.2.2 includes NRS Server 1.1.5
OR
some other procedure ??
TIA
Triff ..

UPDATE on http://nxtreporting.comWe just got again some nice updates: * Check the bottom of the asset market cap: http://nxtreporting.com/assetcap.php we just got some totals over all assets: Let's check some numbers: We have a total market cap over all assets (not including the issuer account) of 26 million USD. That would place the Asset Exchange directly on place 8 on coinmarketcap.com!! Another value: A total trading volume over the last month of 1.7 million USD, on the asset exchange. Very promising! * If an id is searched for, it shows now a message when there exist accounts and assets and transactions with the same id (that is rare, but happens) see http://nxtreporting.com/?a=12465186738101000735&c=USD for an example. * The issuer account and the genesis account got a special mark in the shareholder list. Check Bithaus and LOVE* Check the genesis account http://nxtreporting.com/?ac=1739068987193023818

It is made by landomata, who is a long standing Nxter but I don't believe he has been involved with the Nxt core. You can find out more info here: https://nxtforum.org/nxt-mobile-app-co

The "most favoured" version of NRS is now 1.1.5 Remember to update: NRS v1.1.5: https://nxtforum.org/nrs-releases/nrs-v1-1-5/NxtWallet v1.1.5: https://nxtforum.org/alternative-clients/(windows-mac-linux)-nxtwallet/msg50134#msg50134 Other Clients are available here, just check they are on v1.1.5: https://nxtforum.org/alternative-clients/A cautionary tale: **** A user came onto the forums recently wondering where his forging balance had gone to. He had been forging since January with 2500 NXT and had managed to forge another 2500 NXT. If you have been around long enough, this should set alarm bells ringing in your head too... It turns out he had not upgraded since around v0.4.x and was forging on a fork (not on the same chain as everyone else). When he upgraded, he caught up with the 'real' blockchain and of course his forged revenue evaporated as they never occured on the 'real' blockchain. So if you aren't on the latest Client and are forging regularly with a small amount of Nxt, you haven't found a bug that let's you take more than your fair share You are most likely on a fork and are wasting your time. So upgrade! **** Believe it or not, there is still a peer running 0.4.7e (a fork), 0.5.0, 0.5.5, 0.5.10. Only single peers but still not upgraded. 78% are running 1.1.4 or 1.1.5. And the devs are cooking something up as there is a single 1.1.6 too... TL:DR Upgrade to avoid the disappointment of being on a fork.

Assets on the Asset Exchange will have its own "coinmarketcap" rankings soon When will NEM be added?
Soon! I'm in the process of creating a separate section for the Nxt Asset Exchange.

I've tried to upgrade to your new version and for whatever reason I can't .. I don't forge I don't trade I don't use any of the coin's features I just want to hold my Nxt for the time being So, any risks/downside to staying with the version that I have ( because it works ) ?? I have two wallets and coins in both and I can 'move' them around That's all the 'functionality' that I care about at the moment Triff ..

1.1.4 is ok to use, 1.1.5 is not a mandatory upgrade. Never miss mandatory upgrades though to be on the same chain as everyone.
