I am heavily invested in NXT since several months.
Result:
I am heavily disappointed about price development (and others) and I deeply regret my decision for NXT. Can see a lot of "good News" but no real progress.

DId you expect to get rich quick? Because then NXT was the wrong decision. Buy a pump and dump coin then.

You wouldn't buy a bluechip stock to get fast immediate gains, would you?

If you're such a heavyweight, why not announce bounties for tasks you think should be accomplished to reach higher price levels?

IMO, Nxt developers do a great job and Nxt community is one of the most active. Agreed price is low, but that's good for distribution. I'm more than optimistic and whether 1 Nxt has a price label of 0.00006 or 0.0001 BTC is not important.

And as TwinWinNerD said: No pump and dump, but bluechip  Wink

NXT is #3 on coinmarketcap. NXT is less than a year old. Yea, very disappointing.

Terrible result, I agree  Angry Angry Angry

Sorry to hear this.
Yes, Nxt has had a bit of a weird offset between "good news" and price.
We have lots of features in place, but the awareness of these seems to be limited.
We are working on this.

IMHO the reason of the missing awareness are based on 3 facts:

  • bad distribution at IPO (but it's not so bad now)
  • no mining possible (and mining is also a means of distribution)
  • no easy implementation of wallets for exchanges, because it's not a bitcoin clone

Nxt has come a long way, but it's getting better every day. I'm bullish on Nxt long term!

I've always been looking for a simple, no frills site that offers easy access to the latest client without making the user search through an overload of information.

Scratching my own itch, I've built one:

http://nxtrelease.info

This site uses the NRSrelease & NRSversion aliases to automatically update itself and always point to the latest client. Those aliases are updated by J-L in every release. As a bonus, it automatically extracts the changelog as well :-)

I hope other people find it useful as well.

Nxt will not be successful because we have speculative investors buying with the intent of selling at some point.  Sorry to burst your bubble.  We are setting a framework for massive adoption in real world commerce, once it comes to fruition, you will not regret your decision.

Nxt is getting better everyday. No other cryptocurrency can compare in term of innovation.

About the price, I don't think it matter right now. This crypto is new and we are still early adopters.

One day Nxt will be mainstream but until then Nxt need to improve.

Coinomat Adding NXT to List of Currencies, Making It Available via Bank Card

Quote
“This is a vital step in ‘unpegging’ NXT from Bitcoin, allowing it to thrive on its own terms: until now, NXT-to-fiat conversion has always required Bitcoin exchange as an intermediate stage.”
