Looks like NXT is getting some love here......good stuff !

To anyone who hasn't been keeping up: 43 million of the stolen NXT has been recovered, there has been no rollback.
BTER is back up and running, so we're all good.....

Proud of NXT for no rollback.

How can I send NXT to an alias with the current client?

Nobody knows this?
In the current NXT clients seams to be no possibility to send NXT to an account given by an alias.

Yes, you can send to alias name, if alias is directed to account ID.

Yes, I know this.
But in the current NXT client I cannot input the alias in the Recipient field anymore. Only NXT-... accounts and contacts are allowed  Huh

Here is an answer: https://nxtforum.org/index.php?action=post;quote=92784;topic=4800.20;last_msg=92787

No, this isn't working  Sad Maybe I'm too stupid.
If I remove the NXT prefix and give the alias name, I get the "Invalid account ID." error.

Hey, there's no one here who wants to send NXT to an alias Huh

Finally Bittrex realizes that they need to list some legit coins and not only list crap coins

I see there is no sell order atm. All orders are buying  Cheesy

The market is still too new and it appears that not many people get to deposit NXT there  Smiley

University of Economics in Prague NXT project UPDATE #2: Schedule

written by hassen:

UPDATE 2nd September: At the moment, 22k Nxt have been contributed, over 2 million forging power has been leased and qqNxt kindly pledged other 10k for possible rewarding of the participants. Thank you very much folks, you are great!

A timetable for the project was set up:

4th week in September: Tosch110-a sociologist from Berlin-will come to Prague to help me prepare the sociological parts of the project

1st week in October: I will present the project to hundreds of Bachelor and Master students at the University of Economics in Prague and invite them for a lecture.

2nd week in October: A lecture will be held for academic public with participation of Nxt expert Salsacz. Nxt will be introduced and the project will be explained in depth. The applicants will have chance to enroll for the project. I am going to distribute the money to them according to the number of applicants and the amount of Nxt I will have.

During the semester: Participants will discover how to use Nxt and how to think about cryprocurrencies and distributed networks. They will work on their papers. I am going to give them consultations concerning both Nxt and world economics.

After the semester: Papers concluding the economical and sociological outputs of the project will be written and presented on conferences (crypto and scientific).
If you like the project, I'm kindly asking you to contribute some Nxt for it. Taking in account the current exchange rate, I could only engage ca. 30 people now, I guess. I believe the potential is bigger.

Discussion: https://nxtforum.org/nxt-projects/university-of-economics-in-prague-nxt-project/

Quote
Since I don’t have resources for supporting the project, I am kindly asking the Nxt community to crowdfund the project. If you like the idea, please send a contribution to this address I opened solely for the purpose of crowdfunding of this project: 13727074986936672578 / NXT-7AC4-Z4SS-UNXK-DX42X. The more money I acquire, the more students I can involve. I would like to work with 30 - 100 students.

I also sell NXT up to 1 M NXT total also for reasonable prices. Fast and smooth deals!

No reason to worry. You won't see your assets until you downloaded the blockchain, but the asset list is saved locally so you see it right away.

Release 1.2.8

https://bitbucket.org/JeanLucPicard/nxt/downloads/nxt-client-1.2.8.zip

sha256:

7d234c912b451c375b10b8ceefbd9053697532c49d4e469c7fc36294c91c591d  nxt-client-1.2.8.zip

Change log:

API changes:

The timestamp parameter in getAccountTransactionIds and getAccountTransactions
now refers to the timestamp of the block in which the transaction was included
rather than the transaction timestamp itself. Transactions are sorted in
descending order of block timestamp and transaction id, instead of transaction
timestamp. This is so that the sorting matches the order in which transactions
are processed, and because transactions with earlier timestamps may appear in
the blockchain after transactions with later timestamps have already been
processed, thus being unintentionally skipped while navigating the transactions
list by transaction timestamp.

The getAccountTransactionIds and getAccountTransactions requests now accept an
optional numberOfConfirmations parameter, which can be used to retrieve only
transactions with at least numberOfConfirmations number of confirmations.

The getBlock API now optionally accepts height instead of block parameter, to
retrieve the block at that height. If both block and height are specified,
height parameter is ignored.

The getBlock API now also accepts includeTransactions parameter, if set to
true, full transaction JSON is returned instead of only transaction ids.

There are no other changes between 1.2.7 and 1.2.8, so those who rely on the
old behavior of the above APIs can continue to use 1.2.7 for the time being.

Client GUI:

Added the option for merchants to specify a specially formatted message that
is required to be added to a payment transaction or an asset transfer.

To activate this behavior, you must set your account info description to the
following format: #merchant:[0-9]+#

This example will only accept a numeric message.

If the message should be of a particular length use this:
#merchant:[a-zA-Z0-9]{4,8}#

This format will only allow messages that have a length of 4 to 8 characters
and is alphanumeric.

Note that the regex is case sensitive.

Fixed issue with public key field not showing when using a contact in the
recipient field.

Your coins and assets are stored on the BLOCKCHAIN not in your wallet. So, as long as you have the password you still have your stuff. You should be able to go to nxtreporting.com, input your NXT ID and see all your coins, assets and transactions as they are on the blockchain.
