Hello could anyone tell me what is a likely return of my investment in this coin? I would like to keep it for a year or something

It's really innovative, so you will probably profit even if you buy in the presale, however to maximise your income you could try and buy it for lower price on the exchange, since usually IPO's are higher than the price just after launch.

interesting news about mintpal acquisition by moolah and i can see quite a few possibilities of where this partnership with syscoin could take them. with that said, has there been any discussion with them around them taking an equity stake in this project?

Yes, we are pretty excited about the Moolah partnership.
As for an equity stake they are free to buy in the pre-sale in the exact same way and terms as everybody else.

i thought that was one way they could do it though it might not be seen as appropriate considering they are also providing the escrow. i guess buying after it is listed would be equally positive. in the mintpal ann they did mention they brought a lot of development and security expertise to the table so i would be curious to know what synergies we could offer each other? incidentally, will we get any formal ann from moolah regarding this partnership? it would certainly be great advertising for the coin! or is this already planned to occur after the coin has launched?

not in the case of via coin and most likely crypti, as well. i'm expecting syscoin will hold up well especially after the revised block reward. by the way via coin has a similarly low block reward too.

Yes I read like most IPO goes up, except for obvious scams. Cause who would sell below IPO price? Except if there are a lot of miners that dump but I do not think that is true here

Yes I saw it in a post earlier. It is changed right so that not to much coins will flood the market from miners? Good thing!

It is anyones guess. It could be an eye opening amount or a decent amount because Syscoin could have a small dedicated user base to a large one (worst case none at all).

Say the price is 2590 sat in 1.5 years. That is 5 times higher than IPO price at 518. There will have been 82,944,000 coins mined worth 2148 bitcoins at 2590 sat. That is $1,245,984 dollars.

The 360,000,000 other coins at 2590 sat will be $5,501,160.

A total market cap of $6,747,144 in 1.5 years if price goes up 5x.

Then you have to factor in will bitcoin go up or down. Will syscoin be ahead of the game and will people be buying the coins. Will a 6 million dollar market cap be small in 1.5 years? will other coins doing well be much high?

Hopefully most people are good enough at math that they can input their own numbers and come up with all the different outcomes. For it to go down under presale price this coin would have to be ahead of its time. People may need to warm up to this new way of doing things. It could be a slow start till there is a break through with mass adoption. Who ever can build it, market it to the right people in the right way will win. Ease of use, solid community, youtubes, how to articles, pictures. Other smart devs and community members need to help out.

How much was sold @ early bird rate?

465 BTC (nearly a third)

Does anyone know how we will be getting our coins on Aug 16th? What's the procedure? Is there a wallet we should have installed to be able to receive them?

It depends on what you picked on the https://moolah.io/syscoin website.
Keypair will allow you to import the address into your wallet. (Instructions will be posted on how to do this later)
Or wallet.dat which you will copy into the data folder for syscoin.

Thanks. I don't know much about Moolah are they reputable? I still haven't received my confirmation email that my pre-sale order has gone through, and I placed the order on Saturday. I opened a support ticket with them, and haven't gotten word back yet. Should I be worried?

It's not in my spam, I'm sure of it. Also, the ticket status isn't updated, and I wrote them another note (on the ticket) yesterday asking if there had been any progress. No response.

Moolah is very reputable they are just a bit busy now w/ the recent Mintpal acquisition. You may have purchased just as the phase1 sale was closing, I'm contacting you over PM to help get this resolved more expediently for ya Wink

What about shipping to the US?

Syscoin has the best of Bitcoin and Ethereum in one place, it's merge mined with Bitcoin so it is plugged into Bitcoin's ecosystem and takes full advantage of it's POW while rewarding Bitcoin miners with Syscoin

Thanks again and oh trust me there is a thorough vetting process for all people who join/want to join the Syscoin team. Even after getting onto the team we're working out the "scaling" process for new members. We definitely aren't just on-boarding people and letting them loose on the code.

For the time being the core team (on the website) will always be checking any code that affects the wallet and is submitted from new members. I know there are some nefarious devs out there who may try to join the team to inject malicious code (hidden blocks and such), not happening! As new devs stick with the team for longer amounts of time their privelages will escalate, but this is what I'm referring to when I say we're still working out the "scaling" process. Definitely giving these subjects serious consideration/planning.

I do want to say if you are a dev who wants to get involved with a legit, we-could-really-change-things-in-a-big-way kind of coin, I encourage you to PM me so we can talk more. Right now we're looking to on-board:
- C++ Developer(s) if you have QT experience that is a plus
- Graphic Designer

When contacting me please include a resume/reference to skills and work examples are preferred. LinkedIn profiles will work in lieu of a full resume.

Shipping will be free? If not, do you know how much will cost? I'm from south america.

I'm sure most are in or watching CLOAK pump. Seems to have hit almost a 5 million dollar market cap based on the decentralized market speculation. They are calling it a decentralized ebay. Not sure when it is launching since it is still in beta. Once it comes out another pump?

Syscoin launching with a million dollar market cap and low mining rewards. Just hold like what the cloak people are doing and you see what happens.

Sounds like you can add anon on top of syscoin too and not wait for the devs. Syscoin should be able to compete with cloak and hopefully in price too.

I'm not saying anon is needed but what syscoin is doing should be attracting people with money as have been seen by other coins and their market cap based on what they will be doing.

Just my 2 cents, too many anon coins, and if you followed cloakcoin they have the best tech of all, and will do awesome. Not sure syscoin really should go down that road. Cloak is on target to take darkcoin market cap plus probably more. I think time would be better spend on finanical, escrow, or a decentralized exchange. Doesn't have to be anon, cloak is doing that. Maybe down the road it's not bad idea, but really cloak has been doing this and testing now for awhile to perfect their system.

I love what syscoin is doing and think adding anon tech would just be jumping on the anon bandwagon which is already many players. Just my 2 cents and if they do that's fine, but really why do it, at least right now when there is so much other stuff to focus on that is innovative?
