That was you? Nice car by the way. Cool

I agree that in a few months sys will have blown up bigtime. Just the fact that moolah, with it's devs, is there in case issues arise is reason enough to hold. I am shocked the price is still sub 1k sat but thats crypto.

If I didn't already have a huge bag I would be definitely buying. So many clones out there that offer nothing and cost more than sys right now and people are still hesitant.

It seems to have less risk than most right now.

1) Devs using names and posting pics of their faces on website (note to devs: there seems to be a couple holdouts on the site. get everyone on board with this for consistency)
2) Devs busted ass to clear up initial issues
3) moolah standing behind devs in case they run into issues and even if devs disappear moolahs devs step in to keep coin moving.

meh, do what you want...

This may have been addressed earlier...

I created an Alias on a previous version of the wallet.

After deleting all but my wallet.dat to use the new wallet my alias has disappeared.

Any way to get it back?

Thanks

I guess the fumbled launch killed off alot of the hype and interest, but for people like myself the slow start has been great (well at least i hope so) as i only really looked into SYS off the back of people trolling it in the VIA thread.
The fact that i've bought all my stash at lower than the second phase IPO is pretty unbelievable really, but i guess a few of those early bird investors would rather just ditch for small profits than chance it - each to their own.

Not going to be locking this away along side my NXT as a long term investment just yet, but have enough of a stash now to keep me interested for a while. Fingers crossed for a good ride Smiley

I think they still ahven't received any.. They're waiting on Moolah to give the Ok to give like 200BTCs.. Doubt they'll raise the price now. Free markets do as they wish.

Hopefully a dev or the syscoin team can get a web site up with the market place. More coins are launching their market place over next weeks using OpenBazaar. They have lower coin count, lower market cap, can get more attention to their coin when price goes up. Of course this coin is more long term and directed towards serious people and not just price chasers. So take your time and do it right but make sure you have something out soon for people to use and list things for sale.

This is really impressive. I've invested a lot in presale and I hope it will be one of the best investments this year.

It should be emphasised as much as possible that this is the only coin with guaranteed at least 6 months of development.

@ slex
Hi.

I am Varun.

I had participated in the  Syscoin presale of which you are escrow.

The details are as follows:

Bought on  8April 2014. Time 14:09

Invested 2.0 BTC.

The BTC address to which it was sent : 1EmkmLs9uepJxqRGKqNdLRCXspRGA2rf7G

TRANSACTION ID : 5110e5da468842e8148f50d53ec510ae484c6bc12b68cdc820519ae465ac3892

The transaction id is present on the  Public Ledger.

I should have received your mail to varuncrypto@gmail.com, but have not received it yet.

I have raised the issue with Moolah, and was assigned Ticket #3590. That was  about 5 days ago and has not been resolved since.
One Mr. Elliot Szarwas chatted with me once only to inform me that the issue has been intimated to his superiors as well as you.
The ticket was subsequently assigned to one Mr. Hatz, who seems to be too busy for quite some time to respond.

I took the  liberty to pm you yesterday  even while you were offline in an off chance hope of reaching but  I guess I was unlucky there too.
I am posting this on this open forum  for want of a better alternative to contact you.
I am very aware that you have been very busy these last few days.  Now that Syscoin is now streamlined a bit, I request you to find out the time to resolve this.
After 5 days , I am bordering on exasperation.

Kindly do the needful and oblige.

Regards,

Varun.

The new Mac wallet is not syncing, any ideas, I used chrome browser.

Give this peers.dat a shot I use it since it seems to always work for me at least - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/25508862/peers.dat

yes as per your instructions

aliasnew "/d/GOLD.bit"

then get error code

Error Code -4 means you have insufficient funds to activate an alias. We are aware that the user experience here could be improved and will prioritize it. In function most developers will be leveraging APIs that are currently being called directly by end users to first see if an alias is available [aliasfilter/aliasscan], then call new+activate if the appropriate funds are available and the alias is also available. Developers could then earn a small fee for providing this and of course a web based (or otherwise) user experience for end users.

Are you not seeing it in the wallet interface? If you go to console and type "aliaslist" what do you see? Should be there via console but pls let us know if not.

This is true, we haven't received any funds yet.

I know for a fact there are developers working on top of the Syscoin API to build markets right now they've been in IRC asking question about the flows. We also have an 80% complete boilerplate market using angularJS+nodeJS here -> https://github.com/syscoin/sysmarket and we have a quick connector for the JSON-RPC using NodeJS here -> https://github.com/syscoin/node-syscoin to jumpstart devs. We are working on our own market as well but are focusing on some core improvement and development process guidelines first as the team is growing quickly.

In other news we have escalated the recent Windows test build to a release candidate and it is now available via the OP. It removed the interfaces for markets/aliases as they were causing issues loading for Windows only. The functionality in console is unchanged by this and this is a non-mandatory but probably helpful update. The Mac Wallet has not changed and retains market/alias tabs- haven't had any issues reports in this environment.

Guys, you need to put more emphasise on the PR. I've been following this thread closely, so I am quite up to date, but most people on various trollboxes seems to know nothing about this coin. We need to educate them. Taglines like "first coin with..." work.

new account.. only commented on syscoin. Do I need to say more
says a guy who went through the posts to find dirt. Well done! need a chocolate for your efforts?
still less considering how incompetent devs have been, less talk and more work will surely might help with a working wallet.

You gotta love the optimism (or is it attempt to pump the price?) people on this thread. First they refused to listen to  how this was the worst release ever. Then once moolah took over, they went "oh yeah the release was bad but now moolah has taken over so all is good". If moolah ditches them, next it will be "yeah you moron "investors" deserved it for the optimism"/ Its nice that I have a looong list of people to add to my ignore list now -- any coin I see these idiots on goes to my junk box Smiley
says account with 8 posts, registered 3 days ago.. LOL
Yeah well if in bitcointalk world (or even in your mind), if number of posts = make sense, then devs of this coin would have been superman...ROFLMAO
"Its nice that I have a looong list of people to add to my ignore list now -- any coin I see these idiots on goes to my junk box"..this makes no sence to me according to your 3 day activity here, i don't insult your opinions btw, free speech ;-)
i have 0 people on ignore list...
In crypto space its difficult to see who can or cannot be trusted. If you have a handy template of people who cannot be trusted you can weed them out effectively. So thats the "sence" "sense" you were looking for.

Is there a timeline to re-enable regenerated TX/service fees?  Mining is not profitable without them. 128SYS per block compared to 300-400SYS.
