Because all the small nickle-players hate it when somebody is less priced than they are, so they keep fighting to undercut each other. Also, it seems some people like to sell low just so they can complain that they are loosing money and expect to get subsidized.

Only the smart people realize that if you put your price HIGHER than the current market price and just wait, the guy in front of you will get sold CHEAPER than you and then when your turn comes - you get PAID.

So, don't expect the price to rise until the dumb ones sell themselves out. But after they are sold out, expect to see them in here with large font and carnival colors telling us all about it.

why price of SYS so bad?HuhHuh?

I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

The mac wallet is not syncing.  Please advise!

Also how do you use peer.dat file with the client?

All wallets are indeed syncing as long as you have the most recent version.

You should not need to change it, just close it, clear the data (except for the wallet.dat) and restart it, if it does not work, come on #syscoin on IRC and someone should be able to help you Smiley

Thanks, however while it was syncing, I just sent my coins to mintpal.  Save my self the future headaches.

Bad time to launch a coin. That is volume / price wise time. Money is on the sidelines while people are on vacation and don't want to spend time on the computer watching their investment.

But it is also a good time to launch a coin as the weak hands sell and it gives the devs time to work out the bugs and launch everything. So when the money does come back it'll go to the good coins and hopefully by then SYS has some good stuff out to show off that makes people want to invest. Such as web sites with market places and certs and data storage and aliases all in an easy to use way.

I was just going to read through this thread. I lost interest in the coin once the dev team really messed up the launch. Now I see all sorts of wallet issues? And then this guys quote above me LOL brightest of the bright. Glad I didnt bother to get involved with this coin. If the dev team cant handle a launch, its okay, but not for me.

We've realized the Mac wallet DOES suffer the same issue as the Win wallet regarding loading UI elements in certain conditions. We'll have a new build up soon to address this for Mac users as well. In the interim we are working on updates to bring these back without hanging issues and in a more functional form. Working on a block explorer and richlist too just need the funding and it'll be up we got the same team that built the Cloakcoin explorer which we think is quite nice.

Just as a transparency reminder- in the interest of clean information for new and current investors we will be locking this thread tomorrow afternoon and creating a new, clean thread. We will link the threads together so everyone can follow the entire story. We will also have clear guidelines for the new thread regarding posts that will be deleted immediately (large fonts, absurd colors, name calling, etc). Thanks.

why price of SYS so bad?HuhHuh?

You have to be patient.

This is probably result of several factors:
- most people who bought for the presale price want to exit (I don't think this is smart to exit), so whenever the price reaches 500+, someone starts selling out (and we need hundreds of BTC sold over 500 satoshi price to start moving forward)
- many people are buying at 380-480 satoshi levels and they are selling out at 500 with a decent profit, because they know that sellers will surpress the price at 500+ satoshi levels, so we will have to deal with people swing trading at 380-480 satoshi - it will last for a few weeks I guess, until someone decides to buy buy wall at higher levels or something huge in PR terms happens

The price will satisfy you at some point, but it won't be days but rather weeks.

This is probably one of the best examples of projects being developed for Ethereum right now, and is being used as the prime example of what's possible.

http://www.mintchalk.com/

If i were to explain to someone why Syscoin and business on the block chain is superior to current alts what could I discuss/show? Unfortunately, the market place in the wallet is still full of people wanting to sell a signed copy of their balls. smh. So I'd rather not showcase that!

Yeah, I bought another 1/2 million SYS in that price range. Except I am not flip-selling them for cheap, like so many people that are doing exactly what you said. I plan on picking up another 1/2 million or even 1 million before the selloff ends. I might start selling small batches of 25000 per day, when the price tops 2000 each. Maybe.

It seems SYS did the hard stuff first (all the coding) and now wants the community to help make stuff and showcase it to everyone. Make videos and interactive things to give people an idea on what's possible. It just takes time and hopefully this coin will only get better and attract more people instead of the opposite which would be drive people away because it's too hard to understand.

I have to agree. That's basically what I am doing. SYS gave me tons of money already. Buy at 400, sell at 490 and never let the price go higher = profit.

Pretty much this. Easy opportunity for swing trading though.

How do you do that? There is basically no volume to buy 25000 without jumping the price out of the 400 range.

Wrong. Buy at 380 - 480 then LET the price go higher, so that when you DO sell, you make even bigger profit. Squeezing the price down is just LETTING other people steal profit from you. You are doing it to yourself.
