i want to spend my retired days with luxury thats why i am investing my present time to earn good bitcoins and 2 bitcoins is not enough for me ! i think i need  more than 1k  bitcoin in my account then my all dreams become true

Same here. But it totally depends upon the life style and the standard of living of an individual as it varies from each other so If you are looking for some lavish lifestyle after getting retire then I believe an individual should atleast hold around 2k bitcoins and then dreams will follow.. Grin Grin

100 BTC is enough for a luxury retirement life.

Even 50 BTC is more then enough i guess to have an luxurious retirement life as 20 years is a very long time and the value of BTC we cant imagine where it would reach in next 20 years and if you have excess fund you can go with gold as the prices of gold would also raise in next 20 years.

Depending how much you spend right in your retired years.

Id probably want 50 btc if not more lol. Cause more never hurts, if anything it just makes you able to do more things.

But, I`d probably retire and get so bored after the 1st year that id launch projects or something.

20 years for some reason sounds like a nightmare.

I guess its just the time duration we had to see the last 6 years to see any form of progress.

Next 20 years means that you are going to retire in 2035. It will be extremely hard to predict the Bitcoin exchange rates then. Well... let me take a rough calculation.

Bitcoin exchange rates increased by 230,000 times in the last 5 years (from $0.001 to $230)

So let's expect that, it will increase by 230 times in the next 5 years. (from $230 to $52,900)

Then let's assume that it will increase by 2.3x every 5 year from 2020 onward.

So by 2035, the exchange rates comes to $643,000.

And USD in 2035 will be having around 50% of the net worth of the USD in 2015. So I'll say that you need BTC worth some $2 million USD (2035) to retire. That means that you should be having BTC3 to BTC5.

Nice prediction. But can it be like that i agree that if you take that calculation price would have to go now over 50K or by 2020. No matter this is hard to happen so much must be set in motion for this not just saying or speculating.

Although it would be hilarious to see it goes over 50K, i hope to see it in my lifetime.

Reaching $50,000 is not that hard at all. Right now, we have less than 100,000 individuals who actively use Bitcoin. Imagine what would happen, if that figure increases to 10 million (a factor of 100x). 2020 is a long way off, and I am hopeful that we will be able to reach that figure without much difficulty.

Bitcoin price is too volatile to rely on it for retirement. Who knows how much will it be in 10 year's time? I would at maximum invest less than 10% of my wealth in bitcoin.

Lets say I want to buy bitcoins today and store them for 20 years to use a my retirement fund.  Live comfortably, but don't need to buy a yacht or anything.  How many do you think I would need to buy?

You need only 5BTC for that Smiley

If Bitcoin rising to 1000$ again you can buy a yacht or anything

i'm not sure about, how much hard it is, but it does not look so easy right now, also if you maintain a 1:1 ratio between users and price, then x100 would be at best 20k and not 50k as you said

50k is a long wait target, it is not something that could happen with just two more halving...yeah one can hope, can speculate but still i think it's a bit out of reality

we are still struggling to keep the current position, best not to disappoint yourself ahead of time

Take the average price in the 2014-15 period. It comes to around $500. So x100 would equal $50,000. I have a feeling that the Bitcoin is heavily undervalued right now. That said, getting 10 million new users will be quite tough. Means that we need two million of them every year. But right now, there is not much to attract new users.

20 years is a really long time to think for I guess holding it for next 6 to 7 years would be an great idea as you never know what technology has to offer you in next 20 years and there would be many better technologies in place to go for so I believe 100 BTC is a good value to hold for next 7 years.

If you include assets it should be quite a few more than that but there's no reliable way of really knowing. Anyway no one needs millionaires. Just plenty of regular folks finding a proper use for it.

well my money is invested between previdence ,some bitcoins, and my company, previdence is an investment running away the risk, but stills has some risk... if bank falls i loose ,but the thing is i shouldnt moove that money to it earn interest ,but i can take it on 10 years all money with the interest....the way that all things are going i may say the banks will stay for long time.....

if i apply for a loan of 1000 dollars bank will charge me around 70 dollars for it
if i deposit the same 1000 dollars on bank they will generate around 5 dollars....

soo the system is very profitable ,better open a bank lol Grin Grin
