I think you need more than 1000 btc,

yeah maybe it sound like a lot but in 20 years i think btc price will around 1000$

And if you do calculate the inflation rate, i think that number should be enough for normal living

$1million is just for a normal living? What a rich guys here Grin. Anyway people are always wandering thing about getting bitcoin in just 20 years or something but I think it will never be why. Let say that you earn 1 btc each month, 1 years is 12 months so you will get 12 btc and in 20 year you will only 240btc. Only if you can get 1 btc per month. but in average I saw people tend to get let say 0.4 from sig campaign, trading around 0.1 per month. That means only 0.5 per month so in 20 years you will have only 120 btc. I havent calculate about emergency cost and other things

The number everyone hopes for is 1. But in reality, I think at most, bitcoin will go up to $100,000 a piece. But even then, something would be very wrong with the economy. To expensive to be stable. I'd say about 21 at least

Since less than 30% of the total bitcoins are held by only 40 people i doubt that anything below 100BTC will make you reacher, consider 1000s

In 20 years it's impossible that it's only 1000$, 1000$ is nohing in the long term. It will either be $0 or $100.000++ or something in between. It's all or nothing.

1000 are $400k, no one can invest that amount as it is today, aside from rich people, that in this case do not need bitcoin to retire

so that amount is not reasonable

Not to sounds like a killjoy but I can't see Bitcoin making the 2 0 year mark.  I'm not saying cryptocurrency won't,  just that btc will most likely be replaced by something better.  In which case even satoshi wouldn't be able to cash out in 20 years.

I'm hoping 100 or so BTC....I think I can squeak mining past that point before end of life (ie doorstop) on the knc titan(s) (2 of them)....ie LTC to BTC or so is the plan.

If it all goes 'tulips' and beanie babies in the future (20 years) just think of all the BTC you could mine...when the difficulty tanked at that 2c btc price Smiley

(hey I'm in the nursing home in 20 years..they have taken all my stuff away..my processions will consist of 1 ratty bathrobe, a tooth brush, slippers ....and my paper wallet

in the old safety deposit box with a usb drive....so I hope BTC is worth big bucks..if not awe hell ...large btc hoard is still  better and more tidy then collecting cats in my old age and
hopefully by that time ..even if it is worth nothing I will have forgotten Smiley

We will see......

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

10bitcoin is enough buy it now and save it

That can be enough, but we don't know what the price will be in 20 years.
For me I just buy little amounts of bitcoin to be safe and wait for a revolution of bitcoin that it rise.
Maybe all people who have a 10 bitcoin will be millionair in the future Tongue

We might see $1000 in the next 12-24 months.
If Bitcoin will be $1000 in 20 years I can tell you that this experiment has failed!
In 2 decades I expect at least 5 figures!
Furthermore how much coins you will need to retire also depends from where do you live, what kind of lifestyle your prefer and a few things more. Therefore it will be very distinct how much coins someone will need to have a good and enjoyable life.

with 5 figures in price in 20 years i would be great to have at least 10, but with 100 would be great retirement

That might be true that is a hard achievement, but it is not impossible.
I am just happy that bitcoin can be 5.000 dollars with in 20 years. That would be a high achievement for bitcoin.
If bitcoin the highest is 5.000 dollars and the end and it is stable than I would be happy with that.

That depends on your situation 20 years later. Basing on the price now, 100 BTC is fair enough if you have 3 to 4 months  more left to live after 20 years.  Grin

Well with 100BTC = 39.800 dollars. I think you can live for a year in Europa or America.
For asian people that is just enough money for 2 years or more I think.

Im asian people i need $200-$300 so for me $3.980 is enough for 1year and 100btc is enough for 10years  Cheesy
but for other reason sometimes i need $1000-$2000 permonth

There are already some good alt coins but they are not such popular like bitcoin, so sometimes it's all about popularity so i think bitcoin will be famous after 20 years, and around 500btc should be enough maybe.

all depends on the price of bitcoin how much you need to 20 years later. if the price of $1000 bitcoin might 100btc also feasible. but if under $1000, at least you need 500-1000btc
