Hi Does anyone have some good settings they can share for the 7950 video card, for CGMiner. I'm using getting 576kh/s but I read that my card should be getting a lot more If I set my intensity to high it crashes right away

Hi Does anyone have some good settings they can share for the 7950 video card, for CGMiner. I'm using getting 576kh/s but I read that my card should be getting a lot more If I set my intensity to high it crashes right away Not a lot more... a little more some 7950 will do 670 Kh/s heavily overclocked, but i won't recommend it, temps and consumption are much higher, overall i don´t think its worth it. I usually do 600-610 KH/s with temps around 70-72C, these are my settings using CGminer 3.7.2 kalroth --xintensity 4 --worksize 256 -g 2 --shaders 1792 --gpu-engine 995 --gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-powertune 10 --thread-concurrency 16384 You can try to increase --thread-concurrency , every card is a little bit different. I´m using a modified bios with core voltage @ 1,081 V instead of stock 1,25 V, for lower wattage. If you are using stock vcore voltage you can try to increase --gpu-engine in 5Mhz steps until drivers crash, then go back 10Mhz. I'm getting similar or better results with SGMiner 4.1.153 with the added bonus of being capable to mine a lot more ALGO's

I heard many 7950 should run at least 20500 for that setting but as you said I realize that every card is a little different & at the moment my card is stock just turned up the fans with GPU-Tweak

I've seen many people reporting good kh/s with those settings and intensity @ 20 with fans @ 100% and good case ventilation will ensure your video card lasts many years not just a few months. If you have poor case ventilation you could take off the side of it and that helps let the hot air get out. Or get a small desk fan to blow on it. Also get those little cans of compressed air and do it on your video card every 2 months you'll be surprised haha they can collect a lot of dust especially if you smoke blunts all day long like I do lol

Thanks I'll try your settings, out of curiousity why is the thread concurrency so low on yours? I heard many 7950 should run at least 20500 for that setting but as you said I realize that every card is a little different & at the moment my card is stock just turned up the fans with GPU-Tweak That's the value that gives me the best hashrate, my card is a sapphire with 3Gb, and it crashes with --thread-concurrency 24000, BUT my card is UNDERCLOCKED. You can also skip --thread-concurrency, as long as you have --shaders 1792, CGminer will calculate what it thinks is the best value for thread concurrency. Is your card on a dedicated mining rig, or in a everyday PC like mine? If i use -I 20, I will get the highest hashrate but my PC gets unusable. Using xintensity instead of intensity allows me to have a perfectly usable PC, while hashing at 610 KH/s, however not all CGMiner versions allow it, I STRONGLY recommend that you use xintensity, unless its a dedicated mining rig. If you feel like reading something, this guide is probably the best around. http://www.overclock.net/t/1461916/tutorial-ultimate-guide-to-tweaking-amd-cgminer-3-7-2-kalroth-edition-sgminer-instructions-included-aswell-get-the-most-hash-out-of-your-gpu

Mines a dedicated mining rig. Try --thread-concurrency 23,000 that's giving me good results so far 663 KH/S and no crashes yet knock on wood hope this stays this way. Can barely move the mouse but no biggie Temps not too bad eithor. Gonna be rocking this for a while. CaliforniaCoins to the moon

Getting harder to solo mine even with good equipment... Need that pool
Indeed a pool would be great can't believe no pool owner has started a pool yet don't they realize they can take fee's 1% - 2% so sad when there is a pool for bluecoin and yellowcoin and those are all clones too but what is neat about CaliforniaCoin is it's not a color & the people are very advanced when it comes to technology & new stuff. Could go very far if we continue at this pace people. Community brings success to coins and I think this one is on to something just my 2 cents.
