Has the pool been tested? ?? Dev, here's some constructive criticism, so don't take it personally. If you decide to ever launch another coin, do yourself and the community a favor and be more prepared. That means have pools already lined up, and have working and TESTED Windows, Mac and Linux wallets. If that means having to premine a few blocks with each, then so be it. Just use whatever premine you get for giveaways to get the word out about the coin. Just my thoughts. Ya, he was a bit unprepared and we explained it a bit to him on Skype. His heart is in the right place I will say. He seems very passionate about it so far and he only premined less then 100k coins. So no way its even 1.5% premine. With that said the bounties section needs to be fixed right now so we can entice more "game-changers" to the coin and we have to come up with a community wallet perhaps. Or another idea I had was make an "official" main pool with maybe like a 1 or 2 percent donation fee that goes to a wallet to fund the coins progress. Let us know what you guys think should be the next step with this coin. We love to hear from you guys and build it the way the community envisions it.

We are accepting shares and everything looks good. Were mining for the first block now. Awesome. Thank you. I registered. Please do share your linux source or update the changes to the Github repo created by t-minus at https://github.com/T-minus/CaliforniaCoinI believe to be included in an exchange, a blockchain explorer will be needed.

Has the DIFF issue been fixed yet? Also has anyone figured out who has the 75,000,000 CAC that have already been mined? That amount of coins all dumped at once will kill the price of this coin. I would think next we need a block explorer.

With under 10 Mh/s the DIFF should not be this high!!! DEV, is this a coingen.io coin?

I have signed up for the pool, but I refuse to mine this coin until the DIFF problem is fixed! I can't see wasting electric on a coin that the DIFF should be at .05 or so.
Why do I ask if this is a coingen.io coin?
Some of you might be aware of a new service launched called coingen, which allows any idiot with about 0.2 BTC to make their very own crapcoin. Now, some of you might be saying: But Hazard, don’t you create coins for people as well? Well, yes, but the difference is that I’m always available for future developmental work and to fix any problems a coin might encounter. Coingen comes with no such guarantee, which is especially problematic since these coins come with a death sentence attached from the moment they’re created.
You see, coingen was created by one of the oldest bitcoin supporters and exists solely to discredit altcoins. Accordingly, every coin this site spits out has it’s difficulty scaling set the same as Bitcoin – 400% in either direction every 2 weeks. History has shown that this is a laughably bad idea, and that the difficulty will get stuck at some obscenely high value. This causes miners to jump ship and block generation to come to a standstill. At this point the coin is effectively dead, unless a patch is issued. Since all these coins lack a developer, no such patch will ever come. It is therefore inevitable that all coingen coins will be dead within a few days of launch.
In the end, the buyer is left with a dead coin, and the miners have wasted time mining air. Everyone gets screwed – except the coingen operator of course. He makes a nice little profit on the whole ordeal.

That's what I speculated. Here is the problem I think: Target spacing 10 min Target time-span 168 h 168 h re-target

Why should I waste my hashrate on this coin now? I have tried to support this coin through the forks, I even donated to have a pool created. But if this is a coingen coin. It's not worth mining! It's going to die. I still want to know where the other 75,000,000 coins are? If someone has them I'm sure they would fess up to it.
Like California (or US) politics, there is a lot not adding up here. In the end I feel the supporters of the coin are going to get screwed!!

That's what I speculated. Here is the problem I think: Target spacing 10 min Target time-span 168 h 168 h re-target The retarget rate is bad. First thing IMO that needs to be changed, but the dev should reach out to someone to get some outside help on a better difficulty transition.

Check here http://www.coingen.io/status.htmlDoesn't seem like this was made by CoinGen, as CoinGen doesn't even work anymore it says "server messed up" when anyone tries creating an altcoin. You can stop bashing it now in an effort to get diff to lower so you can mine quicker

This coin wasn't made by coingen it was created by a programmer buddy of mine.
If you want to dis-credit the coin and the good people of this community at least have some evidence.

Do you have any ideas whats causing this madmarty?
