We have decided to change PoS stake rates, originally it was supposed to be:

Year 1: 100%
Year 2: 2%
And 2% for the following years

As a community, we put the issue for debate and people have voiced their opinion that they want the high stake rate to remain, however it is not a good idea to suddently jump from 100% to 2% as it creates chaos and instability in the coin. Therefore we decided to gradually decrease the stake rate during a period of 3 years, rather than a sudden drop to 1/50th.

The stake rate is as followed:

Coins now: 171,000,000

  • Year 1, Month 1-2 : 100%
  • Year 1, Month 3-4 : 80%
  • Year 1, Month 5-6 : 60%
  • Year 1, Month 7-8 : 40%
  • Year 1, Month 8-10: 30%
  • Year 1, Month 10-12: 20% - This is end of Year 1
  • Year 2, Month 1-2 : 15%
  • Year 2, Month 3-4 : 10%
  • Year 2, Month 5-6 : 8%
  • Year 2, Month 7-8 : 6%
  • Year 2, Month 8-10: 4%
  • Year 2, Month 10-12: 3%
  • Year 3: 2%
  • Year 4: 1%
  • ...
  • Year 10: 1%

Max coins after 10 years: 336,394,784 AC
Max coins after 100 years: 823,707,260 AC

Note: These numbers are the maximum, if 100% of the coins stake all the time. This will not be the case obviously. So the actual total coin numbers will be significantly less but there is no way to know as we don't know what percentage will stake. This new staking system will be unique to our coin too, adding innovation to our investments!

How long do we have to hold the coins in the wallet to get staked AC's ? Does minting work on MacOS X Wallets , and Windows Wallets ?

Yes minting works on all the new wallets. You have to hold the coins in your wallet without movement for at least 2 weeks to stake.

All coins added to your wallet have a unique age right? What I'm asking is as long as I'm only adding coins, will I still get a stake from the old ones?

Yes, you will get stake from the old coins if it hasn't moved for two weeks and any new coins added will take two weeks to stake.

Thank you! Just wanted to check. 95% of my coins I added two weeks ago almost exactly and had some after. Haven't seen any stake yet.

No problem. For those who do not know, make sure you upgrade your wallets to v2.0.0.0.

You can now mine at HachCows and get payouts in AsiaCoin.

All you need to do is to sign up, head to 'User Info' -> Account Settings, and select AC from the dropdown.

Payouts are expected to happen at around 3:30 UTC every day.

Awesome work Maestro!

Apparently Iconic is anti BC now.. i don't know anymore these days.. but anyways if someone wants to spend BTC buying another coin.. just to destroy it.. well .. who am i to stop them ..  Good luck i guess Smiley

Anyways thanks for bringing this to our attention though.. i think it's good to keep our ears to the ground anyhow .. hopefully no one is working against such a good group of people like the AC community.

We've been through a lot together guys, climbed back from the Abyss.. that is some true strength.

I'd be surprised if anyone is looking out to destroy AC... I mean it's like beating a dead horse here.. AC was already destroyed.. and it came back.  What motivation is there to destroy it again? (and come subsequently come back again)..

Hopefully people have better things to do with their time .. or even other coins to go and destroy.. i mean c'mon.  We're just here doing our thing, slowly developing this.

sometimes there is open language - it was a famous quote from IconicExpert on Blackcoin page - that Iconic wants to destroy all competition ,,clone'' coins and especially Whitecoin - and Iconic has been buying a lot of whitecoin coins only do dump whitecoin to death.

destroying competing coins brings measurable profits

now Blackcoin proce is falling again they might become even more nervous

Asiacoin is very visible now ( 3 or 4th volume any day ) and now Asiacoin is most preferred target to destroy a competitor

http://ac2.pool.mn/index.php has decided to shut down their mining pool.  They cite "not much interest in mining" as the reason.  The thing is, after their announcement on May 5th ("We stand to support the future of AsiaCoin") they never resumed payment for any miners (I mined for many days without receiving anything).

Three things:

1)  Express your discontent for this pool for going back on their word to "stand with the future of Asia Coin."

2)  The reason there was no interest in mining with them, is THEY NEVER RESUMED PAYMENT.  If they had stated they resumed payment of Asia Coin, people would have gone back to mining with them!

3)  Start mining with hashcows.  They have Asia Coin as a payout option - I have yet to confirm receiving any coins (just started mining), but at this point, it seems it's the only option to get buy pressure.

I too, was a victim here. I never received payment for days of mining there though they said they would pay us when it was put back on major exchanges. It has been on them for some time, and is on more minor exchanges than it ever was before, yet no payments. I'm sure they are laughing at us all the way to the (cryptocurency) bank with all of the free hash we gave them. I sent a letter just recently to them to no avail. I'm disappointed.

That is great! Hashcows now support AsiaCoin and pays out AC for the miners. Their site is at: hashco.ws

Be sure to check your account settings and get your payout through AC.

See what im saying guys? Work = Price, tell everyone about us, more ppl we have more support and listeners we have. This price didnt get here just because of hype but our efforts in trying so hard. I am a continous doer for AC, hope the same for you. Btw we still havent reach our 10btc or 1mill AC goal so please help us Smiley

We have much less coins than many others, and have a much better stake so dont let this stake waste, leave em in your wallets cold.
