There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Guys.. 3 BTC is not a whale.. nor is it high frequency trading..

This is just some regular speculation buy/dump trading..

People don't have much patience in altcoins.. lots of competition.

That's just the way it is around here.  If we don't have good news on daily basis/hype.. some other coin will shine that day.

Always bet on the community, and the dev team, imo.
See its not just us but all alts taking a beating. Now we are in difficult time, I am still holding around 330K @1103 satoshi. Good Luck

Here is another option.  This has lighter, newer, refreshing feel.  Text is Roboto Thin.  Image is from here:  http://admin.anzow.com/picture/2012815/2012081534555861.jpg and I just grabbed the logo from the source code (the .psd logo wouldn't download from Mega).

We need more vote on https://www.coinpayments.net/
They will put winning coin into their merchant chain as a payment form.
We are at the 1st place, but Ultracoin is catching up!! We are at the 1st place, but 48 votes, really?Huh
That's the strong community everybody has been taking about? Come on! We need more vote!!!

Unlike those exchange sites vote, this only allows 1 vote for each ip address.
All it takes is 0.0011BTC, and a few mins of your time to do it.
Current vote status: https://www.coinpayments.net/vote-thanks

Step 1: Go to https://www.coinpayments.net/vote
Step 2: Select AsiaCoin
Step 3: Click on the bottom "Submit Vote - 0.001BTC"
Step 4: Type in your email address and your name, and choose the coin you want to use to vote (0.001BTC or 0.0427190LTC or 991Doge)
Step 5: Click "Complete Donation"
Step 6: Send 0.0011BTC(0.0001 is transaction fee) to whatever the address they give you for your vote.
Step 7: Wait about 20 mins, and check your email to confirm your vote, and DONE

Step 7 is crucial. If you don't confirm it, it won't count.

UltraCoin has almost caught up to us!  If you haven't voted, PLEASE VOTE!!!!!

If you haven't done so:

CoinPayments.net Vote NOW!

http://www.coinpayments.net/vote

What you need to do:

1. Go to the website.
2. Choose AsiaCoin and click Submit.
3. Fill out the form to get your own BTC deposit address.
4. Send 0.001 BTC - or equivalent in LTC/Doge - to that address (make sure to add a transaction fee to ensure it arrives within 4 hours!)
5. Confirm your email (click on the link sent to your email). They will send the confirmation email after your BTC transaction gets 6 confirmations. If you don't do this, your vote won't get confirmed.

Done! Please read my other post about CoinPayments to know why this is very important for AsiaCoin.

Don't forget to click on the link in the confirmation email, which they send once your transaction is completed and after its 6 or 10 confirmations. If you don't do this, your vote won't count.

If you're happy with our work on AsiaCoin revival, please consider giving us trust feedback and provide donations to the new AsiaCoin Foundation.

agree it's not real HFT but:

-they most probably have some proprietary software for trading on mintpal ( one can buy a bot for cryptsy and btc-e but not for mintpal )

-have seen large transactions on mintpal on the screen less than a second ( as close to HFT as mintpal can do )

-this - as i say  , whale , - who might be interested to invest in Asiacoins anywhere from 100 to 500 BTC ( at rock bottom prices )  most likely is doing same thing for a number of other altcoins . might have capital for only altcoins something like 5000 + btc + has ability to write good working proprietary trading software

still way to George Soros levels but for altcoin world a word , whale, seems okay or not ?

I said this before and I'll say it again.  I think this is nothing more than a readjustment to the BTC rise in price today.  Almost all currencies are down today.  As soon as BTC went up, everything else went down.  The price is a ratio of AsiaCoins to Bitcoins (and then to USD).  If the price of Bitcoin goes up, that means the ratio gets smaller.  You have less AsiaCoin, but your BTC is worth more.

For example, let's say 2 Asia Coins are worth 1 Bitcoin (some day, right?!).  To get how much $$ in USD each Asia Coin is, you have to convert to BTC and then to USD.  Like this:

2 AsiaCoins             1 BTC
----------     x   ----------  =  Each AsiaCoin is worth $0.0044444444444 USD.
1 BTC                 $450 USD

Now let's say the price of Bitcoin goes up to $500.  Using the same formula, but readjusted to the new BTC/USD price we get:

2 AsiaCoins             1 BTC
----------     x   ----------  =  Each AsiaCoin is worth $0.004 USD.
1 BTC                  $500 USD

Let's say the price of BTC went up to its all time high of ~$1200.

2 AsiaCoins             1 BTC
-----------   x     ----------     = Each AsiaCoin is worth $0.00167 USD.
1 BTC                  $1200 USD

So you see, when the price of BTC rises, your AsiaCoins are actually worth less.  Thus, when you look at the price solely as a ratio of AsiaCoins to Bitcoins, you see that the price of AsiaCoin must decrease to keep its value the same when the price of Bitcoin goes up.  However, your BTC is worth more so when you cash out to USD, you're still getting the same amount of USD out of the system.  You can't expect the BTC price to rise and your coin value to also stay the same.  That would be like getting double your money.

Stop fixating on the price so much and look at the bigger picture.

umm...
If 2 AC equaled 1 BTC@ $450, Each AC=$225 USD
If 2 AC equaled 1 BTC@ $500, Each AC=$250 USD
If 2 AC equaled 1 BTC@ $1200, Each AC=$600 USD

AC/BTC ratio doesn't matter. AC price downfall only because holders wants get BTC until its price (BTC/$) rises.

Guys there is no reason to sell at this price. We have our Thunderclap on Monday, which will reach to over 130,000 people. We're working on new features to add to the coin soon, very soon we will be on CoinPayments which means we will be able to buy a lot of different items with AsiaCoin.

Things are looking very good for AC, much better than most other altcoins. Have confidence.

If you're happy with our work on AsiaCoin revival, please consider giving us trust feedback and provide donations to the new AsiaCoin Foundation.

Frankly speaking the thunderclap message is pretty "meh". It's just my opinion though, other people might think it's great.
