i think that AC could benefit from some sort of 'darksend' or at least implement some sort of anonymity to it??

similar to stable coin? or darkc?

If that is something the community is interested in, we can look into it but for now we're focusing on adding new features to wallet and our dedicated multipool.

Personally I wouldn't jump onto anonymity implementations (darksend or zerocoin) quickly as we haven't seen how it will be perceived outside the cryptocurrency world and specifically by the governments. It's not like a add it or die feature, really just observing from the sidelines for now.

valid point made, and definitely agree, you have done a wonderful job since the premine was voided... hats off to your hard work!!

...However, I think in the future it would be a nice implementation.... and we all know how governments will perceive it... ''as a negative thing''... if we have nothing to hide why become anonymous right??.. well its because the world is tired of continuous and extensive monitoring on every single aspect of life, which is one reason cryptos were invented

thanks for the comment though

and AC to the moooon!!

i would not jump on darksend but zerocoin yes. But that obviously can't be a priority Smiley

Good luck devs you are doing a great work; and i keep buying AC as I can.

Cheers

Going to look at zerocoin..

I decided to do a full rebase of AC code from BC code.. which is from Novacoin code which HAS the base zerocoin libraries already integrated.. but it still requires a full Zerocoin implementation.. that'll be quite a bit of work.. maybe later down the pipeline.  Can take some integrates from some other efforts that is faster.

Anyways reconstituting from blackcoin/novacoin fork on github going to be important.. check out the effort here:  https://github.com/micryon/asiacoin-bc

This will be a non-breaking/non-forking update.. i'll be calling it v2.1  Hopefully it works Smiley

Isn't zerocoin project abandoned?
Was reading Silkcoin and people mention it.

you are right, however the codes are there for any other committed devs to take on the project, and from my understanding devs are out there working hard as we speak to implement something similar

you are right, however the codes are there for any other committed devs to take on the project, and from my understanding devs are out there working hard as we speak to implement something similar

The situation with zerocoin is this.  So evidently almost every coin that branched off of Novacoin (blackcoin, silk, etc) Already has zerocoin libs integrated.. but it requires a full protocol implementation.

This library does not implement the full Zerocoin protocol. In addition to the above cryptographic routines, a full Zerocoin implementation requires several specialized Zerocoin messages, double spending checks, and some additional coin redemption logic that must be supported by all clients in the network. libzerocoin does not provide routines to support these functions, although we do provide an overview on the Integrating with Bitcoin clients page.

Dark and also Nautilus. AC lost the spot light for the time being and frankly speaking it looks like it will be quite hard to get it back.

Interesting.  Let me share this with you on what I have learned from others about investing. The inherent human greed and fear (panic) will always be the biggest challenges of successful investing. Some call it the “herd mentality.”  It reminds me of the “mindless Zombies.”

It is troubling to me to see so many investors loosing the little they have to begin with. That is the prevailing reason why I decided to cross the line and do what little I can to help save AsiaCoin. You all have done the most amazing job in any turnaround situation I have seen. I am pretty certain that you have the best team in the altcoin world in terms of across the board talents and skill sets, coupled with great attitude, selflessness, dedications and much more. Frankly, as an industry competitor, I am jealous. But I trust that the success of AsiaCoin will be of mutual benefits to our industry and I hope you all will join hand with us to assist and encourage more women to participate in our industry currently overwhelming dominated by men by a ratio of 19:1, or 95% (male) to 5% (female). With women controlling more the 50% of the consumer purchasing power worldwide, this niche should be taken very seriously.

The most successful investors seldom fall into the trap of “herd mentality”. One legendary investor said it best, “I fear when everyone else gets very greedy but I get very greed when everyone else gets very fearful.” I have very high hopes for AsiaCoin but that is just my personal opinion.

Well.. i'm still cracking at it..

I finished committing the core coin src merge with blackcoin/novacoin fork.. that was a lot of work.  It doesn't compile just yet.. but I'm working on the kinks..

This will set us up, and get us coin control, and zerocoin libraries (to be later leveraged for anon protocol)

Checkout the new code base here: https://github.com/micryon/asiacoin-bc

Well said. I support AsiaCoin because I believe that the story behind it is important for the history of cryptos in general and that making a success story out of this coin will give a lot more confidence in people who have second thoughts whether to invest in crypto or not.
