Hey. Looks like I've been out of the Asiacoin scene for awhile - I've been in since day with the old logo, everything looks different now. Looks good.

So I guess it's PoS mining now right? Im running Windows 8, and currently have AC Wallet version 2.0.0.0 - I see Mac & Linux versions are on 2.0.1?

Also, on the wallet itself I see no staking or weight for PoS mining. I just see the connections icon & block chain. Nothing about mining, or reward, or anything.

Is Asiacoin still PoS mining? I'm not sure what's going on at this point.

The windows wallet says version 2.0.0.0 because our dev forgot to fix version number, however it's fixed in the mac wallet (we will release a windows wallet with the right version number soon). As long as you download the wallet from the link on the first post, it's the latest version. The latest wallet was released a few days ago so if your wallet is older than that, you need to upgrade.

The minimum stake age is 14 days, so you need to wait until your coins are mature enough to stake. AC is now pure PoS, and you can see staked blocks on our block explorer:

http://chainz.cryptoid.info/ac/

If you're happy with our work on AsiaCoin revival, please consider giving us trust feedback and provide donations to the new AsiaCoin Foundation.

Can you explain this more thoroughly please? What are you referring to? AC is fine. Yes you may have lost money... This is typical in any crypto that one merely buys and shit don't go there way. Please explain what you mean.

I pray this member has an excuse, as the rescue devs have done nothing but.... rescue. I hold damn near 300k coins, and truth be told had they not rescued this coin they would have been worth jack shit. I am sorry you did not make the mint as intended, but this coin is performing, and I have yet to "SELL OUT".

We're releasing our new mac and linux wallets, version 2.0.1.0.

Mac

Linux 32-bit
Linux 64-bit

Sorry FlyingMongoose, someone beat you to it but I'm sure it's been a great learning experience as this was your first mac wallet.

It is still not working on my mac OSX 10.9.3 , I installed the new wallet , even rebooted , but there is no real going beyond block 71999 ( of 78938 now ) , any ideas why it is not working ?

I am trying out the new Mac wallet. It is syncing now. Hope it works for me. It seems that some nodes are stuck on 71999. We really need everyone to update their wallets to the latest version.

Now stuck on 42days

Often helps just to close the wallet and open it again when it gets stuck. Seen this happen with loads of coins.

Make sure you have the latest wallet as posted in the OP.

I am trying out the new Mac wallet. It is syncing now. Hope it works for me. It seems that some nodes are stuck on 71999. We really need everyone to update their wallets to the latest version.

Update on my attempts :
I restarted the new wallet a few times without results in going further than the 71999 block ,
only after I unlocked it , the wallet went immediately to stake , even though being out of sync with the transaction history  , I received unconfirmed & immature stakes and my complete balance moved entirely to  Stake:  — with 0.00 AC Balance available and all Asiacoins showing up under Stake: xxxxx .

Wallet and Recent transactions are still out of sync . Initially , the synchronising process with the network , after unlocking , moved a few blocks ahead from 71999 to 72002 then 72003 before getting completely stuck again .

I restarted the wallet a few times , unlocked again each time , but had no further results . It says catching up but all remains out of sync and my mined stakes are currently unconfirmed & remain immature ( needing over 50 blocks to become spendable ) , and the transaction history count is not moving beyond block 72003 ( of 80057 , right now ) .

The mining transaction ids show no result on the ac blockchain explorer , so I guess they have not even been properly broadcasted by the wallet onto the chain yet . I have 12 active connections to the AC network .

I know it's friday 13th but I'd really like my wallet work properly ; is there something one can do using the debugger , maybe a command … ?

12 connections is quite typical. Once you moved beyond 71999, you are already fine. It takes time to catch up with the blocks, I guess.

It has been 3 hours since the last received block has been generated . The transaction history is now still not moving beyond block 72003 : stuck .
The issue does not seem to be resolved , in addition all my coins from Balance: migrated to Stake: , none being available under the normal Balance .

Do you have the very latest release? There was a release made maybe 5 days ago. The version number is, I think, 2.0.1.0. With version 2.0.0.0 the loading gets stuck at block 71999; the very latest version corrects this.

If it's from page 1 of this thread, it should be the newest version. You can also find the wallet releases on the Asiacoin website, at the bottom of the main page:

http://www.thecoin.asia/

What operating system are you using? The MAC OSX and Linux releases came out later than the Windows release, yesterday I think.

If you select: Help > Debug Window on the wallet they give the version number and build date. If it says version number 2.0.1.0 you know for sure you have the latest wallet. If it says version 2.0.0.0 it might still be the latest wallet. When they first released the wallet, they forgot to change the version number reported by the wallet. But you can also check the build date of the wallet. If the build date is very recent, it must be the latest wallet.

The number of users on the old version 0.7.2 and the new 2.0.0.0 is somewhat so par so you need to make sure you are add nodes that are running the latest wallet. If you are connected to mostly old version 2.0.0.0 and 0.7.2 peers, you will not advance. So far, it is somewhat jerky for my Mac wallet. We need all users to update.
