Great tool btw. It has worked well. However I am running into one small issue. I can't seem to add more than 5 machines before the 5th field gets shared with the 6th. I had hoped to be able to scale out. Is this possible?

For instance if I have 5 and add a 6th the two fields are shared I have no way of separating them. Anything I can do to address this?

I've had 9 Ants running on here (see op screenshot) and I know others have had a lot more than that.  Can you post a screenshot of what you mean?

There is an issue where if you have two ants with the same ending address only one will appear on the grid.  ie,

192.168.0.90
192.168.1.90

only the first will appear and it gets overwritten with the second.  But both are configurable for monitoring, they just don't both show up.

M

Here is what it looks like. As you can see the last entries are the one in question. Both having unique IPs. Ignore the fact that it has an error. That is deliberate and to demonstrate the contrast. One is an S3 (under S1 entry) and the working one is an S2.

What are the IPs of the last two?

M

192.168.0.230 S2
192.168.0.235 S3

Oh and this happens on two different machines running Windows 8.1.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

I initially had it set up in numerical sequence, but because of this I figured I would try it out like this. It does not seem to want to create the 6th field for some reason. Oh and again thanks for your efforts on this Cheesy

I'd like to give this monitor a try with some S3's, but in the OP there is a statement: "- This does NOT work for S1s unless you modify the cgminer config to allow SSH API access."

Is the above caveat valid for S3's? That is, will the Monitor work with an S3 "out of the box". If not, exactly what needs to be done to the S3 to make it work? Thanks in advance.

The part that's referring to is updating the pool info via the app.  Everything else works fine to my knowledge.

M
So there's nothing special to configure in the cgminer config to allow the monitor to work with S1's or S3's?

That's just it, no matter how many I add the results are the same.

No.  To clarify my earlier statement, cgminer has two API "settings".

One is who is allowed to query the API, but not change anything.
The other is who is allowed to change things via the API.

The S1s default to having the "view" available to your local network.  However, they do not allow changes.
S2s default to having both accessable to your local network.

I don't know what if S3s follow the S1 model or the S2 model.

Regardless, my app will work for querying on all three.  It's updating things (like pushing pool data to the Ants) that doesn't work by default with S1s.

Alright.  Did you upgrade from a prior version, or is this the first time you're using it?  There seems to be issues with the upgrade logic, probably by skipping versions, but I'm not sure.

If you did upgrade, try deleting/renaming this registry key and see what happens:

hkey_current_user\software\mantmonitor

First time DL / run.

Edit: I assume for the SSH when doing local port 22 is used, but whats needed for the web scrape ?

Might need my collo guy to open it.

There might be a problem with the web code.  I haven't given that as much attention as I probably should.  Originally that was the main thing, but once I got the API working, web stuff got put on the backburner.

I'll have to look as I can.

Sounds good, please keep us informed because for people with hosted Ants, the webui will be a godsend.

Also, I made an edit to my above reply about ports.

Web scraping uses the normal http.  It renders the page internally and then extracts the necessary data and shows it on the screen.

Generally if you can get to it through a web browser on port 80, it should work.

Well like I said, my situations probably a little more unique than others since mine are hosted off the home network with IP's as described before.

1.2.3.4:5676
1.2.3.4:5677
1.2.3.4:5678
1.2.3.4:5679

I just would rally love to get this program working so I don't need to keep four tabs open all the time.

If you can get his working for me and others with situations as mine, I'll tip some BTC your way, and I dont mean a measly 0.01 either.

I missed the fact the ports are different than the standard port 80.  That should be fixable.

This might also be why I'm having trouble getting in to them via putty to OC.

Not sure how to try and configure putty... basically been doing this.

1.2.3.4:5676 for the hostname / IP then still using 22 in the port box.

As for this APP, now that we seem to be on the same page, hoping you can help get the webui thing working for me and others like me with systems hosted outside he home with unique ports leading to individual machines on the same IP.

Hi,

I noticed that with v2.6a my s3 does not report a "bestshare" at all.  Is that an anomaly with MantMonitor or a problem with my s3 [running for over a week now]?

It could easily be that value was renamed in the S3s.  I don't have an S3 yet, so I don't know yet.  If the best share value shows on the Ant web UI, then it's my app.

My S3s have a bestshare option in the web interface which on the both of mine say 0, which is what is reported on M's Ant Monitor and Multiminer. it appears the S3s version of CGminer is slightly different to S1's so maybe it's not calculated any more, according to multiminer api lookup S1's version is 3.12.0 and S3's is 3.12.0_7.0.0.3, while the ants web interface software sectiom gives them both the same version 3.12.0-1
