the old thread should be reopened

With self moderation added imo. If the board won't allow it, maybe emailing a moderator could get it done for us in the back end.

That thread gets a lot of hits on google still and is top of my search results when I google for blackcoin on bitcointalk.

Yeah, not for anyone, but self moderation has been keeping this thread in order. The only two thinks we can do at this point is making sure this one grows big enough or get the old one self moderated / a link to the new one.

Just keep posting here Smiley We'll outgrow the old one soon enough!

Yeah. Maybe rat4 can shoot a quick pm to the moderator and ask for it to be made self moderated.

That said, the old topic was probably the most trolled topic in bitcointalk history Cool So I don't mind forgetting about it and just getting this topic up to 1000 pages.

Im just looking at the order depth chart... Blackcoin might go sky high!
Would be nice, but don't expect too much. We thought that often. The problem are the instant selldowns "off the order book" and huge sell orders appearing 20% under market as soon as the price threatens to break out. Same old story for weeks now....

Yeah the price suppression has been very aggravating.  Isnt the multipool and blackshield supposed to help with this?
This could even happen, but do not be elude by the depth graphic because it is totally useless at this moment of the championship, several attempts pump the prices were frustrated by dumps between 20K-25K, the depth graphic and The Orders book are a big trap. If you are looking to buy some blackcoin, buy and hold, regardless of whether the price rises or falls, I think the BLK have not yet arrived into the deep end, but I honestly I would being wrong about it.

Would be necessary a few more weeks to see how far the sellers will withstand the low volume and forfeit patience and then start pouring big, If we have a herd behavior dumping BLK our situation will greatly complicate. Huh

Well, the network hash rate is at 28.776 Mhash/s which is close to an all time high (since the end of PoW, of course), so lots of people have their coins off the exchanges and have them staking.
That's certainly a good sign.

Our number one goal, in my opinion, is to make a service which allows anyone to buy BC quick, easy and safely. Just like coinbase. Every new person who buys BlackCoin is another person who is on our side and will spread the word.

I certainly agree with you on this.

Simple services are key to wider use.

It will be the innovative people here that will I hope bring ideas to the table that are unique, novel, engaging and useful.

Something like blackcoin wallet phone app that uses Near Field Communication to make payments using blackcoin which is converted to fiat at the register?

Idk, taking pics of QR codes is pretty simple. Shouldn't there be a BC andriod wallet coming out soon? That's pretty much the last required piece for merchants.

A android wallet with optional staking would be a fantastic piece of tech.

A staking wallet would rock.  Additional features added on top of that would also be awesome.

Would be very cool. POS equipment is a key area of the overall pitch to wider adoption.

Last 24 hours I bought 500K BC. Why? Because I KNOW what's going to make this coin go sky high soon.

Cya on the otherside  Wink

damn dude. 500k is quite a lot, are you staking it yet? You should get around 20-40 BC/day

Care to confirm(no worries if not)? Send a tiny amount to my donation address (like .00001 bc)

well my computer is not so safe atm so im moving bit by bit to coldstorage and never touching it again. im going to format the shit out of it now and coldstorage after that so its not in wallet file on my computer but im working on that asap obviously
the rest is still on hold. And by then obviously im not going to send a few cents and taking risk just to proof ;p

dude tell your story it would be really interesting to hear what made you invest 90 BTC in BC?

It's simple. Blackcoin has a great community, innovative, coinkite is coming, android wallet is coming, PR firm is working. Tell me which other altcoin has that much going on and ill give you half my stash

I have to say, although Im deeply invested in BC.... The blackcoinpool doesnt seem pretty well maintained. Profitability stats are not updated since May 14th, X11 hashrate is not realtime updated nor workers are being seen as online and profitability overall is not being advertised on http://poolpicker.eu/text.php. Profits for the days I was mining at the BC pool are 30% lower then other scrypt or x11 multipools.

Without any maintenance, I don't expect hashrates will be going up (more down) which should be one of the main reasons why BC is able to keep current marketprice levels.

Is the pool not important anymore?

POW ended 2+ months ago. Multipool mines altcoins and then buys BC on open market.

PoW of BackCoin has only been 7 days and is now PoS with 1% yearly interest for staking. The pool is mining other coins, sells them for BTC, converts to BC and pays out BC.

There isn't another coin like Blackcoin. Blackcoin could hit 200k once it finally breaks free of the downtrend. A break of 25k is a massive bull signal.
