Answer is simple because there is not many buyers at those price levels.
- Before our main exchange Mintpal was hacked and lost 75% volume...
- All alts from December fallen... there is no one which keep price.
( NXT was released in January but 15000ast on hype to again 8000sat )... LTC 52$ -> 8$ PPC 8$ ->1.3$

Prepare on next hype circle and grab good coins.
With BC we are in depression.

From positive aspects many "invidual" people are buying BC so price don't jump so much.
But i see increasing number of people on IRC 220 -> 245 yesterday.
And there are new people on forum so BC future will be good.

There is about 12+ developers who are in real work for BC and community NOW.
(this is no 5000+ IPO like Bitshares so don't expect MANY miracles in development but
David with halo show he can do miracles ...( halo works in beta) )...
Anyway BC will grow over time no matter how trolls will hate or love it.


PS:If you think why use halo to trade BTC / BC small tip: NO TAXES almost impossible to investigate.
You can use wester union to buy and so no bank acc needed. ( Maybe not best example but works on imagination )

Been thinking about everything I've read here during the last week and I've come to the following conclusions about bc:

1) It is most probably in that 1-2% of altcoins that possibly has a future. There are people actually working for the coin and most importantly there are services being built on top of it.

2) Despite (1), and also despite the fact that staking is possible for holders, holding BC does not seem to be a wise decision. The reason is the marketing strategy that is used, which results in huge unjustified price drops. The team does everything possible to prevent pump action, while at the same time does absolutely nothing to prevent unexplained price drops. For instance, the price dropping from 24k to 14k is considered as something natural, while a similar rise is considered as an unwanted pump. I cannot possibly know the reason for this strategy. However, simple common sense indicates that by using such a strategy it is possible to have total control over who has the advantage during the pumps and thus maximum profit. It is quite obvious that those who benefit the most from such a strategy are the dev team and possibly others who might be close to them.

So, selling bc during periods of unexplained silence from the dev and marketing team should be considered a wise decision.

No intention to FUD here. If I am making a mistake, feel free to correct me.

PS: FYI, it's not me the one who's been dumping.

The dev team? There is one dev (see github).. and a few other devs coming with updates. dev cares about protocol, not price.

I dont care if people wanna pump, or others wanna dump :p I just want to hold. But yes, I imagine you're not happy when you've bought higher (I got ~75k at average 22k).. Could've had 125k had I waited.. Rather not think about it and just look at my coins staking..

My real problem is not the low price. It's the weird strategy that is being used, which leads to unexplained price drops.

Tell me who is responsible for BC price ?

My strategy is hold for long time year two and observe community if it is active and creative.
And try help donate, do some creative job too.
All alts fall in price over time LTC,PPC,BTC.
Over time ones matter hard work of Devs and increasing number of “users” not speculators.
Difference is that BC goes down for 30days… from 24k to 14k and will be pumped in 2h when one whales will want to 20k+…
That is difference I would see rise like +2% every day but that won’t happen because whales will pump price instant in few hours if they decide.
All markets here are the same. LTC BTC are much older so they PND circles are longer BC is young so have short PnD periods.

Price is not Dev responsibility but community.
Dev responsibility is to keep coin safe or make it protocol better.

Halo improvements - David you know he work hard mostly for free… ( I don’t dare to ask for ETA )
POS3 – rat4 he have own work speed own POS road map
Black wave labs – NO ETA no hype makers too  2 projects
BC centric exchange in build end stage

They are working on own speed and trying getting any ETA is kind pressure on them they are working for free because

I just got some at 13200... was entertaining to read most of the thread and i dont think (and hope too) there is a problem with the coin or the team... there is a lot of developing around BC but maybe not so many people know it as it should be (strange even with a nice web, feed, good specs and with the amazing BlackHalo) but... we will see

What is happening here with the price is a joke. The drop is completely intentional, I dare to say 'planned'.

I follow BC from beginning and i can tell you most events were unplanned here...

1st was rat4 he jumped in made announce about pure POS and all started flame it wont work only POW/POS can work...

2nd Soepkip 1st guy who get in and started gatheing people get some founds on various stuff he comes from nowhere ext...

3rd Multipool idea blade87 -> idea burned alt scene and caused obvious  big fear/hopes  and pump 200x over one month....

4rd after pump there is dump but people have forgotten than nothing can rise forever up… Flame war started who should we blame for fall…
In reality this is how alts economy grow once up once down all coin are the same here names are changing Doge PPC BTC LTC NXT…
Few morons barks on Soepkip and Dev who helped Cinni…

5  Black halo private project of David Zimbeck he got some help from community at end stage to improve all but that was random project nothing planned…

All what was planed was only coin kite, PR agency rest are pretty random events…If you will stay with BC you will see how it works here there is not such central authority

BC and Mintpal are related, BC have to came out of Mintpal to grow again.

Yet you can give as much proof as everyone who did that before.

No communication of the chicago thing? Did you check twitter, reddit live updates etc.? Do you expect someone to knock on your door and tell you about it?

If you "know" for sure that someone is playing games, why aren't you all in? IF the price is being dropped intentionally then only for accumulation and a monster pump when the bottom is reached. Usually that is done by people who don't have to do anything with the coin development at all but happen to have a lot of BTC, but of course you know that.

Not everything that does no go in your favour is a conspiracy. If it is not some blatant manipulation the next likeky is that the price drops since everybody wants it to drop just a bit more before buy in. And once they bought in people start to complain like little sissies that others keep waiting a bit longer.

Still absolutely beyond me how anybody can sell at these prices, but it's their loss in the end. I would rather lose every single cent i got into this than selling to some whale.

There is no games...
Developers are impeded you can not force anyone to tell you when he finish when he is doing it in free time...
Currently there is about 20+ people around who are working something who i know that they are working
just 5min get on reddit and ready...

I won't say this is "project" this is currency it rise on their own some people help each other some hate others...
This is not like we have 5000+ BTC IPO we will hire people make real road map ext. this is more like BTC in early days.
Fanatics works around some for vision ( rat4,David ) some people invested money into it like drunkonsouds...
many of those people have different goals this is not project like Bitshaes,Etherum big IPO...
but this is not like eg VRC where you have single Dev how make all...

To be fair is hard to say what BC really is it rise on it own mostly...
I can tell you that after few months of observation.
Today for me is hard to say who is "dev team"... to many people is creating that system.
And halo can make it more complicated.
