I 'personally' think it is manipulation. When we start seeing growth, we start seeing huge sell walls.

that is possible with BlackHalo, the currently only smart contract software around.
The BC price does not even remotely reflect the actual value of this coin, however a mix out of blatant manipulation, extremely impatient persons and recent panic and/or dumping on ridiculously low volume hold the price down. Other reasons:

- BC developers refuse to give ETAs for the common pump and dump schemes.

- The vast majority of BC holders who "survived" all the ups and downs (former exposed BC personalities turning into people who openly admitted they want to destroy the coin, con artists like wizfarm and IE... unhealty pump to 90k, another fatal pump with coinkite) does not care about the short term price. We all know where this is going and that some bad short term chart won't stop the things that are in the making. Can you believe that the coin dropped to an almost 4 months low and nearly no top 200 wallet even moved their coins to an exchange? (It might have been a few but my wallets in that top 200 range did not move a single spot up or down).

three times the price is relative, you have to see the market cap and not even the overhyped VRC got closer to it than about 75% of BC when it peaked.
Of course some coin with 2m coins instead of 75m will trade higher for a single coin even if the market cap is only 10% of BC.

BC price is still a joke though, and the observation you made is exactly the reason why this coin has way more long term holders than most of the other altcoins where coins hardly ever leave the exchanges - and which are often done after a single round of PnD which makes the losers of that PnD the only long term holders "by accident".

OK I never post in bitcointalk, but read along and am a long-term holder of black and last few weeks have been buying more and more 

As far as I can see it it it seems that several larger holders have been stacking up on BC. (i.e. high sell pressure with nice large dumps (and buys). All the sellwalls are accompanied by reasonably large buy orders. Even now it seemed someone was/is trying to get more cheap BC.... -> take advantage of it as long as it lasts... sooner or later the sell pressure is removed and with support from larger holders we go to where we should be with this awesome coin...

Probably, although it does make less sense with every day.
More likely daytraders cashing out at +30% and (likely) the usual downward manipulation service being resumed as soon as lowered buy pressure allows it.

Ive honestly only looked into blackcoin once i heard the announcement bittrex was adding it as a trading pair. I've also seen it plenty of times but never looked into or payed attention to it. Hell at one point at think i was even mining it on a multipool and dumping it everyday. The more and more i read up on it i realize how much of a mistake it was for me to overlook this coin. But now i am aware and will begin to hoard this coin like there is no tomorrow, i hope more people wake up and realize this is one hell of a coin!

And now what has just happened with Elite coin solidifies my new outlook on cryptos. I got caught in the same PnD scams with Elite, Shield, Conceal and many others. I have now learned from those noob mistakes. I am now looking for long term stability, thank you blackcoin for saving me just in time.

Well, i would say you've entered at just the right time. BC/BLK has been dragged through shit, but still smells of roses. There's more shit to come no doubt, but it'll rise again no doubt about it. Plenty of shitcoins have come and gone. Most of them a copy/paste of BC/BLK. BC/BLK is still here, the nobrots have left, and the community/dev team are as strong as ever.

To make it real only time can show and hard work. Coin markets were allays over flooded but after BC when 100+ coins cloned concept was getting really hard.
But at the end in next year it wont be possible to release BC clone in one day with all stuff behind coin as like it goes with BTC or LTC.
Crypto markets are moved in waves hype/dump but services value ext. Are improving coin values.
