Can we please stop the troll shit (and ignore them totally) and get back professional?

Well I just wanted to show the lighter side of things. We don't want people who are just hearing about SilkCoin to visit our thread and jump right into a heated discussion.

If you'd like an update, the whitepaper is coming out tomorrow and Mac compile is coming by the end of the weekend. You'll see a lot more technical discussion taking place once the whitepaper has been released.

Relax badass.. It's all in good fun.. Look at google they have fun in there work place..

But anyway Wulfcastle what your guys time zone? Friday night where I am.. So Saturday for you would be in how many hours??

I'm not in the same time zone as the rest of the team, but I believe majority are GMT+1. So most likely in around 18 hours, assuming the whitepaper is released at 10AM tomorrow.

It's the staking mechanism, the stake you won (the small amount) goes to another address, just like when you mine from the wallet. But it's available in your balance and if you want to choose you can choose inputs in coin control dialog to choose from which address to send.

Sorry for the lazyness, but how much coins do I stake when my (staked) balance is like 50,000? And furthermore, is there a specific time set for payment?

Thanks,
boestin

If you hover over the lightning bolt it will tell you your current stake weight and expected time until reward

Q

But the stakeweight is not measured in coins right? How do I translate that?

i'm not 100% sure on this as i am not one of the DEVS but i think the weight is the coin amount that has aged 12 hrs and avail to stake.. i think ..

Any dev's around?   Cheesy

Oh another question. Will we be able to sign up for the closed beta or is it an internal thing??

I think we all needed to relax a bit and let off some steam after a few pages this morning, of some heated FUD/spam spreading so whenever you see a troll post this :

Just a bit of humor to cool things down a bit Wink

I'm just starting to find out about RZR. How is its use of TOR different from Neutrino?

Only reason I know about it because about 16 hours ago it's mining profitability was 0.012 BTC/Mh/day while to rent a mining rig costs about 0.002-0.003 BTC/Mh/day. So I was maniacally renting mining rigs. Everyone else seemed to get the same idea pretty quickly though.

Maybe SilkCoin should just let all these other coins fight about ANON until one of them has really good solution, then just copy that on to Silk.

I suspect its copied from Neutrinocoin, so it can be a 1:1 clone only with a clearnet launch on RZR.. Didn't check the src of both coins regarding the Tor code.

Imo its pretty sweet to have your IP masked without installing additional software. Have to agree with the coin fight but i guess this Tor seed routing is pretty badass and the code seems reliable after monitoring my own network traffic.

edit: yup RZR is a clone from Neutrinocoin

That is the long term strategy for Silk. Developing own and unique non anon functionalities and when the time comes it will integrate the best anon solution. No need to join the anon hypetrain at this point in time, true anon is being developed right now, why should a coin like SC dedicate precious development resources towards developing an own anon function when in the end, after the anon battle is fought, it will be open source anyway. Best strategy is to hold your silk, this is a long term investment.

Thanks to the person that tipped me 20 SC!  Grin

This is what I love about this community.

Although a small gesture but shows great character in it's community members.
