When the news comes a developer has come forward to implement a darksend like feature into Libertycoin it will destroy all competition.
u just gave me goosebumps, man. buying more NOW hahaha Lol well that is the reason I bought in myself. The thing which is hot right now in cryptocurrencies is the ability to send funds and or messages anonymously through the blockchain. That is what partly makes Darkcoin so succesful at the moment. Of course, in the long term other qualities matter as well such as ASIC or multipool resistance, merchant acceptance etcetera.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

This coin will be killed. IconicExpert, troiste...
You will see when something goes wrong you have the biggest trolls already here.
And if you get some success, barrabas will come and he will post HUGE textwalls of FUD then.
Let's hope I'm wrong...
+1 Be careful They are mercenaries When you turn your back they'll put it in your background

Lol that is ridiculous. Unwarranted FUD is what surrounded Libertycoin since launch causing it to be severely undervalued at the moment. The implementation of the Zerocoin option was done in an attempt to future proof Libertycoin, it's strategic thinking imho. Now with Zerocoin off the table, it is only a matter of time when someone steps up to take that 2 BTC & 100.000 XLB bounty and creates an anonymous transaction feature. My guess is Libertycoin taking off very soon, Mintpal should be looking into it as we speak. When the succes comes, no doubt the trolls start spreading nonsense in here again. Do your own research, don't listen to asshats trying to scare people only to buy into their panic sell orders. Of course, I am bullish on Libertycoin but my calculations are based on logic thinking, analysis of fundamentals, not on emotions or lies brought up by people just wanting to buy in cheap. Why would haters follow this thread? If you truly believe Libertycoin won't amount to anything why would you waste your time dealing with it?

would be good if libertycoin could implement its own version of darksend and be unique as it has wonderful potential.....
different name to darksend, even if they can implement zerocash or something similar would be awesome

Lets put FUD aside just for the time being.
A few people and myself have been working countless hours to get a few great minds together on this. I am not personally a developer so I cant say exactly what and how it can be done, but I believe an anonymous POS coin can be the next innovation to the cryptoworld.
1. Proof of Stake is energy efficient.(No more chasing ROI on new hardware) 2. Anonymous is what cryptos where suppose to be.
"Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System is a form of money that uses cryptography to control its creation and management, rather than relying on central authorities"
"Bitcoin and other decentralized and anonymous virtual currencies are quickly becoming a major force in online payments."
We the community are going to make it happen

The Zerocoin product was intended to be a mixer of BTC. BTC devs and such got afraid the US governrment would cause them trouble especially after the silkroad stuff and declined to implenet it into BTC code. Zerocin folks decided to launch as a coin on it's own. They call that zerocash. They abandoned zerocoin. They posted up the libzerocoin so other may use of it as they please. Liberty was going to use it but as it was abandoned they decided to look for something else. darksend is not open just yet but its foundation is coinjoin and that is. It's dev worked with darkcoin folks to make darksend.. Thats the basic simplistic story minus fud and trolls. I do think that maybe LBX dev talk to the coinjoin guy to create a LBXsend or sund such as he has worked with coin dev to make a working version of his product.

+ 1 So very true. That is why I believe in Libertycoin. For those interested in price: watch when this puppy hits Mintpal, this coin will coexist peacefully with Darkcoin up in the top 10 at coinmarketcap. Basically for all true needs there are cryptocurrencies now, it's time for phase 2 which is maturation. Darkcoin and Libertycoin cater for a specific need, the need for truly anonymous transactions.

I believe LibertyCoin has an edge over DarkCoin simply because of the name (let's say the features are the same). Liberty is history and future. The word dark is cool, but it's also marginal.
