So is it no longer a good point to upgrade my hashing power?

Nope,

i don't think its a good time to buy any more hash, BTC price is falling and IIRC, GM has a clause somewhere that says that they will stop mining if BTC reaches a level where it would not be profitable to mine anymore. They will stop mining and you will be left with Hash that holds no value at all. In fact, all cloud mining companies have such a clause in their contracts. I am still unhappy that GM does not have a market where i can sell my hash and users like you, can buy my hash at cheaper rates than what they are offering atm. Zenmining offered such a feature and when i saw the price of BTC going down, i managed to rid myself of my hash power on their markets and managed to even make a small profit due to the earnings prior to the big BTC dump. GM has left me nowhere. I cannot sell the useless 1 MHS that i purchased (at a much higher price than Zen, mind you!) which does not earn me anything as it just sits there and does nothing. I should have an option to sell that 1 MHS on a market so i can salvage some part of my investment IMO.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Certainly not. Just hold your coins and wait for btc to be on the rise again. And if you absolutely must buy some cloudmining I would suggest to look for more profitable services. There are some, just look around here at this forum Wink

If you know any other Cloud Mining Service that has a better return but is not a ponzi, I'd love to hear about it. I've researched this extensively and the only alternative I found is Megamine.com, who have some interesting all-in packaged (no fees, everything prepaid).

Nice.  When will you ROI?

Probably this decade. Man, this guy must be really rich or really, really dumb. Well, most likely both. Talk about dead money.

Hey All,

I want to distantiate myself from any wrong implications based on the above foto. Genesis Mining is not involved in any sense with Gawminers and their business.

Of course it is affected, but I remember genesis-mining saying that they would still be able to operate at BTC below 150$, or it might have been mentioned even lower so I guess contracts will still run, will not be terminated and will wait for better days Wink

Thats what I heard too... however I have not got a single payout for the past month or so. Granted I have only 1 mhs but isnt that worth even a payout of 1 satoshi? Utter waste of money in my opinion.

You must have mined a minimum of 5430 satoshi to get a payout. It should accumulate till you reach that amount.

Can we get our money back if we don't want to continue with you.

Always read the terms and conditions before deciding whether or not to agree to a contract. You did not read them otherwise you would have known the answer is 'no'.

There are other options out there with other cloud mining companies that offer different forms of getting (part of) your money back. Megamine for example will buy back a prepaid contract for a certain price. Other companies allow you to sell your 'share' to other users. But of course, these options come at a price.

I guess you did not do any research into the different options. You're lucky you ended up with Genesis-mining. It's one of the few respectable cloud mining companies and it has a very decent return on investment. Sure, not as high as on some of the (now collapsed) ponzi schemes and certainly not as high as the unrealistic expectations that some of the kids on this forum have, but much better then you would get with most any other investment vehicle.

Even though I lost a sizeable investment on Scrypt mining, I'm very happy with how things are going =) Most of my money is in SHA256.

Hey Miners,

Check out the new presentation Marco gave at the "State of Digital Money" conference in L.A. addressing the issues and growing concerns about ponzi schemes in the mining market.
