Kind of having a bad situation right now, switched laptops I was using, but having the same hard drive.  I go to start up Vericoin and get this

Is there a wallet.dat I can pull from anywhere and just reinstall the program or what can I do?

I got an error when I first opened Vericoin, as with other coins. Just open it again and it should run fine.

Has something to do with a first run without program data that's created in the user data folder.

If this is the first time you opened it, that's the problem. Just re-open it and it should work fine. If not, then following the steps I outlined should work. Try re-opening it first though.

I've got VERY high confidence in this coin, and tons of other alts to "liquidate" still.

Okay I just added ~150 MH/s X11 to http://pool.vericoin.info.

How often are payouts? 

every hour more or less but it doesnt start till many hours later. The first time I stopped mining because I thought it did not work. 1 day later a load of transactions came in when I opened my wallet.

It seems to me that soooooo many people totally underestimate the potential and power of SMS feature.

1. Make a backup of your wallet.dat. It will be in your AppData/Roaming/VeriCoin directory.

2. Erase everything in that directory except the wallet.dat file.

3. re-install the VeriCoin wallet.

That should fix the problem. Just be sure to back up that wallet.dat file first incase something goes wrong.

Though not finished synching yet (currently 55.5% done), I am missing quite a bit of Vericoin.

Nothing is in the Spendable, nothing is in Stake, Unconfirmed is showing less than half of the Vericoin I did have before.   Interestingly though, in my "Transactions" tab, it is showing all the amounts I have deposited to my wallet.   If one of the devs can check my posts, I mean, I guess after the wallet syncs completely everything will show up, or I'm hoping right now.  Just going by what is showing in Uncofirmed though, it is definitely not the total that should be there.

How should you be able to spend VRC if you are not synced? How are you going to see your balance, if you bought some VRC @ 85% sync block count?

Just wait, your VRC will come when its synced. Also there is no need for a complete sync, there is a bootstrap build in the 1.2.4 wallet.
