We've hit another all time Folding@Home daily record of 358,374,369, up from our previous record of 343,270,480.
With at least 1 more 1080 Ti being added today. Cool

If you have to ask why, you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Between you, me, and members of the Google Hangout, that's about 10 (6 confirmed) 1080 Ti being added in the next few days.

What name are you folding under nowadays, Genie?

Lips sealed

Edit:  j/k atm I'm using "TruLovid..." (it's been a bad month for storms and PSU issues, so the stats of the nick are kinda meaningless)

Code:
Current Block Diff: 118,035,863.88747893
Well, that should be fun for cryptopools with
Code:
Pool Hash Rate 0.85 TH/s
 Roll Eyes

If you have to ask why, you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Beyond Cancer…

Whether you’re folding proteins on a volunteer basis, or for Curecoin on Folding@home, mining the currency, or trading it on exchanges; you are directly or indirectly advancing computational drug design, molecular dynamics, deep learning and AI research.

Protein folding projects which your computer works on occasionally focus on elements beyond published research …

For example, recent Project 11408:

Explore Cyclophilin A (CYpA) which has implications in suppression of transplanted organ rejection as well as HIV infection mechanisms:

Molecular simulations of CypA protein on the Folding@home network allow Stanford to develop a better understanding of conformational heterogeneity normally observed only via X-ray crystallography and spectroscopic methods – The aim is to gain key insights into the heterogeneity of proteins and the significant role this plays in their activation at various temperatures.

26168 atoms simulated using Dual Precision GPUs
minimum system requirement to contribute to this project (randomly assigned of course):
  • nVidia Fermi series like GeForce 465 and newer
  • AMD 5xxx and newer

It WAS "mooning" 'till Poloniex decided to delist it FOR NO APPARENT REASON (NONE of their stated reasons apply) - took a serious dump, but it's been recovering since.

It was mooning... quite well actually..   Its recovering now.  It actually hit .20 cents the other day on Bittrex.   Definitely not "dead".   I've haven't been folding that long for Curecoin but saw the delist happen.  Literally shortly after that happened, CURE hit an all time high and it continues to ride HIGHER than prior to delisting and that is amazing.

Sad thing is, I know of over 40 people who submitted a tick asking why with no response. Funny thing is even with the price per btc being a little lower, the price per $ has raised to an all time high. With this still the research speed is mooning upwards of 20Pflops of folding speed. Making us most definitely the largest DCN on earth.

 41.

On a "vs BTC" basis it's still not recovered to the ballpark 10000 satoshi it peaked at just before the delist - but on a $ basis it's been pretty close most of the last few days.

so, who needs to buy this coin to benefit from it? (except for speculators)

What is the use case? Can a university buy this for scientific calculations?

Vs BTC, not much has seen a 600% growth in value in the last 12 months (nor is it likely that many will).

i have to state that i think cure is one of the biggest underdogs in cryptosphere this days
that in fact only like 7 million coins rolled out for real
and curecoin2 in development

give this coin a enormous potential

OK, I'm tired of looking.....
Is there a page where one can get team PPD that isn't tucked behind some shitty cloudflare crap? It's kind of difficult to do any calc dev when you can't get stats to calc.  Undecided

Won't match up on a day-by-day basis with cryptobullions as the data isn't pulled at the same time, but long-term it matches up well enough, and it's good enough for "calculation" with.

Yeah, I tried that but the nested tables make for a laggy scrape.  Sad

My hope is to do something that is "modern" and gives people the option to calc with/without average increase/decrease of team points, static based on current, static based on 7 or 14 day average, etc.

If you have to ask why, you wouldn`t understand my answer.

Perhaps ask cryptobuillions or the FLDC folks where they get their data?

On an unrelated note, is anyone else getting a ton of "can't upload completed work units" issues on some of the cancer-related projects over the last couple days?
