Howdie

I think I have managed to atleast keep the pool alive for now but at a cost of high rejects/stales for the time being but the extra 2% I have added for the duration of this week should cover the extra stale rates for now.

This gives me time to atleast keep the pool running and also work on the permanent solution.

Its great that it is dropping however until I know for sure I have fixed it those stalerates dropping doesnt mean much yet

UPDATE :

So it seems the random problems is directly related to literally random DDOSing of our server.

I just blocked over 120000 unique ips and adding a bunch of extra iptables rules which I will slowly relax since its fairly restrictive atm, need to see if it keeps the shitty ips and their bad traffic at bay but wont know for atleast a couple of hours when they start hitting us again.

If this solves the problem I will setup a load balancing good/bad network splitting point so the actual server would never get hit with the retarded traffic and the splitter would take the hits.

I was mining after Clipse's announcement with intermittent connection issues, but it's dead for me right now too.

My stale-rate was dropping considerably... all the way down to 3.8% from 5.5%

Edit: and as I'm writing this: 2 LPs go off without a hitch and the third gets a 'Pool 0 communication error' 'Pool not responding' and back to my backup pool

Yep, when everything is going right I should be sending ~2400MH your way from 16 threads on 8 GPUs using cgminer 2.3.2.

UPDATE :

First part of the fixes seem to be stable now, just did a pool reset and will keep it running as such overnight.

If you want to get more accurate local miner reading of new results, please reset your miner after reading this and have a look until I check in when I wake up.

I haven't seen a further update, but I haven't had any luck today. The pool goes on and off, but even when it's reported as being alive I can't get any work from it. Is anyone else able to connect and work?

Running one more extended LIVE test so whoever wants to jump back on (if you permanently moved us from primary pool) can do so now, all shares being logged during this LIVE test will be logged on userstats bit later today but before the old shares payment being made today.
