Enrolment should always be open!  Otherwise someone could miss out on big profits by selling/buying between enrolment periods.
I think the point was that it is a limited availability.
The coins should be limited, the enrolment period not.
But it is - at least now.
If you or tc61 are interested in joining Sync Fund profit share club, I am still considering to sell my 3.1 SYNC together with
entry into the profit share, you just need to update the information from mine to yours.
I need to get a good offer though or else I will hold my SYNC (and keep it staking) until a profit sharing event
gives me a good reward in BTCs and the price will rise again!
Originally I was expecting to need BTCs urgently for a different investment, but that has been lagging, so I have time.

I have coins with over 116571 confirmations, but apparently not mature enough yet..
Just how many more confirmations do they need to begin staking?
After a few hundred confirmations they will be staking away, there is something wrong in the settings of your wallet.
Did you disable staking through the console interface? Or encrypt but not unlock for staking?
There are several posts in this thread about staking - you should be able to find the answer here.
Success!

I don't how to disable staking through console and wallet is not encrypted.
Will the coins stake if they are less than an mSync?

Oh, that is a good question.
What I have seen is that once *one* of the inputs of the wallet gets to a very small amount (I believe it is 0.01 SYNC) and is
successful in staking, it will collect *all* inputs that are mature and waiting to stake at that moment, generate *one* new input
and also generate one large staking reward (the reward for all inputs combined)
So, I have seen moments that my 3 SYNC were split into 22 smaller chunks, because each time an input stakes, it splits in 2
until the smallest (0.01 SYNC) input stakes, then suddenly my wallet had only 8 inputs, because 15 inputs were combined.

Now, if you start with a 0.001 SYNC input, I am not sure if that will ever stake - the devs can better answer that.
How many SYNC does your wallet contain? Just 0.001?

Not happy with the way this downtrend is continuing!

Just what exactly are the foundation doing other than hoping

they sell something??

25% loss on the price of what is supposed to be a sure thing is not acceptable in my book.  Undecided

Amen to that!

Please configure Windows to show your file name extensions, then you can verify (it is not visible now)
name should be: Sync.conf

Try adding:

port=24241

to your sync.conf

The coins should be limited, the enrolment period not.

The limited space is the whole point of the profits program.
Wouldn't be very profitable otherwise.

So I guess if your not in the profit program there is no use holding the coin?  Not a good plan...

Except you still see benefit of the coin price going up if they sell something and prove the benefits are real.

I do think the SYNC foundation is going to start seeing how hard it is to keep crypto investors happy. I am willing to bet a lot of people who donated did so thinking it would benefit their coin also. We have not heard much from the foundation since then other then adding more things to the list. Based on the price and comments in this thread people are losing faith in the foundation. I have tried to be a cheerleader for SYNC but it is getting tougher with the foundation not saying much of what they will do. A lot of us have held this coin since the beginning but we believed in this team and choose not to sell when it was 1.8 BTC per SYNC. Right now it sure is looking like a bad choice. However most of us know if they sell an asset even if it is a small one just to prove they have what they say they do the price will sky rocket.

Posting here as a way of bookmarking this thread.

I also do not understand people selling. For a long time price was fairly stable.. now looks to be trending downwards.

Is it people just losing patience? Or panic selling? OR profit taking.. who knows.. i hope it rises again soon, or we have some good news (wasn't there supposed to be a white paper released this month, or soon?)

The next 24 hours are critical!
