Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

i was wondering about 3 thinks , first : where do i get the latest wallet version , 2. : what will be the real incentive of holding sync when all profit + whale programm spots are gone , 3: how many profit spots are still left and for how long will they approximately still be open ?

1. http://syncfund.com/wallets.html

2. Staking, yes, but everyone holding Sync will benefit from any asset sale (price will likely rise, maybe alot).

3. Closed now but we recommend ppl start accumulating and staking as it will reopen again shortly.

Maybe it's my distro but I can't seem to properly compile the QT on my Ubuntu and I rigorously followed Biomech's steps.
I installed the wallet on my Windows PC in order to stake there (and it works) but it's only temporary until I can get it on Ubuntu... I may wait on the 1.1.1 or 1.2 release. May fix my issue.

Otherwise, how often do I need to stake ? I thought, unlocking my wallet once a week was a good thing but do I need to do it more ?

Since the size of the staking reward takes into account the age, it does not make a difference if you stake every day or every week, the payout will be 7 times larger for the week as for the day, so overall it makes no difference.
Do keep in mind to stake before the halving happens, or your reward over that week is less if you stake just after the halving.
Success!

Welcome to the club!
It is a very rare coin (in contrast to most others claiming to be rare while generating millions of coins)
but there are enough to have a decent chance of owning enough of them to qualify for the rewards.

It does make a difference, actually (albeit a small one).  When you stake every day, your interest compounds Cheesy.

Windows 7, 5.2.1
wallet began syncing but the block remaining keeps increasing.
Which wallet version? Syncing does take time, click 'Update' under Nodes Control
5.2.1 is the wallet version, I dont see 'update' and I dont see nodes control o_O
You definitely have the wrong wallet if there is Nodes Control on the left hand nav menu.
Download and install most recent version, no need to delete anything...
http://syncfund.com/wallets.html
HasHe,
You are looking at the wrong screen: Help -> About Qt.
Please go to Help -> About Sync and report the version of Sync, not the version of Qt.

Yeah, I got the new wallet. version is 1.1.0. I did the nodes update and nothing updated. The syncyng bar is stuck but the block number changes, it either goes higher or lower.

Did you download v1.1.0 while in Beta? That sounds like an issue we fixed for launch. Go to the site and download latest, install and run - you likely have beta version.

Got two questions

1) Is there a list of users who are currently enrolled in the profit sharing program?
2) If a user has more than 3 coin but less than 7, with the profit sharing program, would he/she be eligble to get the profit split based on the amount of coins the user holds or he/she gets a flat rate of Profit X 3?

Profit share is fixed for 3 coins, as I understand it does not make a difference if you have 3 or 300 coins.
BTW, long time since I heard about Bee - still fond memories even though it went to zero value.

It does make a difference, actually (albeit a small one).  When you stake every day, your interest compounds Cheesy.
Correct - I already thought about to mention that, but the difference is 0.004% per week,
which is about 2 pennies per week per Sync, if my math is correct for BTC=$500
Presuming that one owns 3 Sync, that means that staking daily (as in: unlocking the wallet, waiting for it to stake and locking it again)
will pay you an additional penny per day for the 6 extra times to do this instead of once per week.
How much value has your time?
That consideration made me leave out the compounded interest for 50% - with the upcoming halving the difference becomes even smaller
(half this).
