How is interest accrued in the Latium system?

The interest you are credited for minting a block is dependent on a few variables. The first is coin age. The next is the current interest rate of the system (currently at 50% APR)
Current interest rate ÷ 365 days X coin age = interest paid.


So in simple terms
You have 100 LAT

100(LAT) X 50%(Interest) / 365 = .13
You'll make .13LAT Daily.

So, if i want 10 LAT daily i need (10 Lat * 365 Days)/ 50 % Interest = 7300 LAT Or simple (amount you want dayly) * 730 = wallet amount

I was going to sell but it looks like the price has been pretty steady for a few weeks. I'm going to let them gain interest once the payout request has been sent to my wallet.

Since you're answering here (I had asked you on twitter), I have a question for you.
How are you combating against referral spam. I know there are systems and sites that you can hire people to make 20,30, 100+ accounts and more for next to nothing and doing so while looking like real users.

I have a good network of real people that would sign up and maybe even use the coin. I want to make sure it's worth my time and someone isn't going to come in and get 1,000 referrals, sell them all off over and over again and crash the value?

Having problem staking.  I have wallet upto date and coins in wallet however not producing any stake on coins. I have had them in wallet for more than 48 hours and stake says 6 hours or so.

Maximum Stake Age: 7 Days

This is great question and thanks for posting it here. We agree fighting fraud is a critical part for Latium’s success as the world’s first viral currency.  We are currently developing systems that will ensure commissions are only paid to legitimate referrals on an automated basis. Currently the Latium team employs a host of different tracking and fraud detection technologies, and also a manual review process.
