Can someone give a config for 290non-x? -I 19 --gpu-engine 947 --gpu-memclock 1250 -g 2 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 20481 Gets me 3550 KH/s on R9 290 (non-X). Does anybody have some better settings? My card doesn't seem to like -g 4 and if I push the engine too high I get driver crashes. -I 21 --gpu-engine 965 --gpu-memclock 1250 -g 1 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 20481 3.65mhs I can't get it past 3.3Mh - 2x Sapphire 290 config is "intensity" : "21", "gpu-engine" : "965", "gpu-memclock" : "1250", "gpu-threads" : "1", "worksize" : "128", "thread-concurrency" : "20481", "kernel" : "x11mod"
plus api-* params, nothing more. Compiled under SMOS, without SDK any ideas? It depends what kind of r9 290 you have. Is it Gigabyte , Is it Asus, is it Sapphire. On Sapphire i get 3.5 mh/s with default settings and 975/1025

For Marucoin, after porting the x11 kernel to x13, I get ~750kh/s with my 5850 at 715/995. But the ordinary marucoin kernel fails to compile oddly enough.
Can you make a Windows build with your x13mod kernel so I can test results on R9 290X and share configs please. btw 2-min SICK build is pretty stout, I think this miner has an issue with the way Nicehash drops their stratum work when switching coins. I don't use Nicehash but a lot of renters complain about that. Hook it up with the X13 kernel mod! Are you saying we're getting faster performance because the CL file isn't object-oriented, and instead, smashed into one straight file? No other mods or hardcodes to darkcoin kernel? OpenCL is not object oriented, not to my knowledge at least. The reason it was smashed into one file was so girino could embed it into his miner. Still tweaking the x13 kernel.

User magro on reddit posted this script to install on Bamt 1.6 https://github.com/benmagro/Add-SGminer-X11Mod-Miner-To-BAMT/Installs and works fine except I'm not getting temperatures or fan speeds showing up in sgminer. Any ideas for a fix? Had the same problem when I tried to build myself. BTW getting 6.0mhs from 2 x Sapphire Vapor X 280x, 335w at the wall. Using 280x config from OP, best I could get out of sgminer-sph was 4.4mhs, 36% increase, nice! You need to copy the adl header files into the ADL_SDK folder before compiling to see tempuratures Thanks. Got it working. If anyone else is having the same problem - I altered x11.sh script too look like this. ... cd /opt/miners/sgminer-x11mod cp /opt/miners/sgminer-4.1.0-sph/ADL_SDK/* /opt/miners/sgminer-x11mod/ADL_SDK/ make clean ...
Also edited the conf file made by the script rather than deleting and copying over another one. Script worked, modified bamt.conf, copied my sgminer-sph.conf to sgminer-x11mod.conf, changed kernel to "x11mod" - runs but get loads of HW errors and half the hashrate. Here's the sgminer-x11mod.conf, pair of 270s and a 6870: "auto-fan": true, "gpu-fan": "40-70", "temp-cutoff": "85", "temp-overheat": "80", "temp-target": "75",

Just thought I'd share my settings. I can only access one of my 280x's right now, it's an XFX non-BE (you know, the crap one for mining...) sgminer.exe --kernel x11mod -o stratum+tcp://super.minep.it:3339 -u Cryptomatni.x12 -p abc --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 -I 19 -w 256 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 30-85 --temp-cutoff 90 --temp-overheat 85 --temp-target 80 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1080 --gpu-powertune -20 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale Ignore the 2650, I had PS doing some batching in the background which I forgot about. It's very stable 3.2-3.3mh/s and considering I was only just getting 2.2mh/s with normal SGMiner on this card. I have 2x MSI 280x's as well, they are on the same bat except the GPU is running 1050 and the pair are averaging 6.6mh/s stable. All in all, a worth while upgrade.

I'm sorry all, I did NOT go through the thread, just sharing my info and taking if from here. I'm waaay to busy to go through all this, but will be attempt from here on. I did NOTHING in terms of argument change, and this miner vs girino was INFERIOR in hashrate. but... fuck girino plus his GNU-obscene 2% fee. Then I looked over my settings, thinking hmmm... optimized..? went from -g 1 to -g2 ... and despite the odd driver crash, everything is spot on, a slight increase in hashrate, same or even lower temps! Second... 5x BIOS Undervolted 280x Vapor-X (think, bought it cheap off ebay). Getting 3mh/s per card. With this miner, I have a lower WU by about 80 !!! This was my (extensively experimented) regular darkcoin kernel settings (radically different to scrypt) - also used for girino -k x11mod -o stratum+tcp://mining.darkcointalk.org:3333 -u bananaman.1 -p x --auto-fan --gpu-fan 25-85 --temp-cutoff 92 --temp-overheat 88 --temp-target 64 -I 19 -g 1 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-engine 1100 --gpu-memclock 1500 With this one, these settings get me barely same hashrate, slightly lower... about 700kh/s lower in total. Nothing to cry over. If I do -g 2, I have to drastically lower intensity. 19, 18 17, 16 ----crashes driver 15 is the sweet spot indeed. I have not checked for consumption and heat in the long term, but by heat signature it seems to be a little worse than girino's 2% miner (which is easily overridden) Also, pool reports much lower rate than girino's by quite a few (2-4 mh/s). More HW error with this one as well, and its crashing frequently. So I ask the real pro's to check my settings and suggest some tweaks, if you please! I really do think it my settings! I know these are ONLY preliminary findings, and need time to stabilise. Thanks in advance! EDIT: went back to girino's... I found that I get way more WU with his. Sorry guys, but willing to try anything and support! But what can I say... with girino, pool report 15mh/s, with this one around 10mh/s - either I'm doing something wrong, or I dont know... girino screenshot

Yeah, I do know that... but a +5mh/s difference is huge! And with CGWatcher and blocking in widnows hosts, I get back girino's 2% at the cost of a 15 second reconnect to pool.
So waht I'm getting at is... Tell me what to do to NOT use girino, use this, and tip the devs for their hard work!

He said he blocked the pool so there isn't a way for it to connect. I am digging through girino's miner but at this point it's just a needle in a haystack search.
