The new website is cool. I realize it is new and you are probably still working on it, but... you explain Maieutics well but (just a suggestion) I'd like to see more selling points for the coin itself. You mention the specs (Pure POS, 2 minute blocks, 50% yield) but why should anyone buy or use MMXIV/Maieutic coins and what makes them valuable? And write it up for noobs, explain why POS is good and what benefit it is ("free" coin deposits, don't get into the algorhthms or mechanics of POS). Write it like you're explaining it to some old person. Explain that the coin is rare. Etc, etc. Say how you are different (and better) from the other coins. When someone lands on your webpage for the first time, it is your chance to sell them on YOUR coin and your pool and land new users. Stop assuming everyone who visits your webpage is a crypto-nerd and will invest the appropriate time to research your coin offering further before investing time/money/resources into it because most will just move on to the next coin when this information is not openly presented. Some feedback on the BTC raffle: A good idea overall, but I think it will draw criticism that you are collecting 2.00BTC for a 1.16BTC (or less) prize. If you can sell the tickets, fantastic, I'm all for it and I hope it is successful and I'm not suggesting you can't or shouldn't make any profit on it. Just saying what most people are probably thinking.

Just wanted to get the basic layout up so ThePeePs can start moving the pool over to the new design when he gets back The BTC that is left over from the BTC raffle is going straight into buys on Bittrex I've also proven that the contests are legitimate and the units are actually sent out. I could set the price at .01 and never send anything. At least you know that by entering a raffle run by me that you have your fair 1% chance per ticket

No longer following your @PurePOS on Twitter. The constant bot posting is obnoxious.
Please stop, and just post REAL updates when there is actually something new to say. Spam on Twitter is still spam.

Don't have time for Twitter. I've been bugged for months to make one, so spam is what you guys get. It's gotten us more miners, views, entries, and volume. Don't follow it if you don't like it. We already have several ways to convey important issues. If people choose not to use IRC and the others we use, that's their choice The name of the twitter is MMXIV Promotions. It just spams all our events

Great attitude. I promise you that users don't want meaningless spam. But if you think that's working for you more power to you. And for not having time for twitter you sure throw around hashtags in this forum a lot. Personally I don't use Twitter so I don't care, but if it's working so well, why do you eschew it so much? We already have several ways to convey important issues. If people choose not to use IRC and the others we use, that's their choice Screw the customers, right? Great attitude. Sounds like the customer service rep saying, if all of the customers would just go away I could get my job done! I understand there are limits and you have to draw the line somewhere, but successful businesses don't view communication with their customers as a burden. If you want to insist on using a chatroom from 1980, then "that's your choice." Maybe some day you'll move it to America Online? Maybe a Myspace page? For proper communication you need "push" notification, not "pull" notification that you insist on using. If you don't know the difference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Push_technologyFor this job there's still nothing better than email subscription/newsletter. Twitter is probably a decent alternative but not everyone has Twitter. Everyone uses email. As a parallel example, retailers like Home Depot don't rely on users to walk through their store, visit their website or participate in chat forums (like you do) to learn about sales and promotions. They use email subscriptions, direct mail, TV ads, etc. Why do you think that is?

Has nothing to do with Twitter Each of our events has its own thread in Alt Currency forum

MMXIV Raffle #2 is now sold out! BTC Raffle is LIVE! Raffle is sold out. Please do not send more coins Wasn't expecting it to sell out this fast! We will do the drawing early next week, I'll figure out the best time this weekend to get the most people on at once to make sure it's a fair drawing. I have to scramble up the list and stuff still anyway. This round took less than 6 days to fully sell out! Great job everyone! Thanks to everyone who participated! Those of you watching, but haven't joined in, yet, we have a BTC Raffle going on right now! You can check it out here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=760702 or you can enter automatically on http://www.mmxivcoin.com/raffle.html

Use Twitter like you're supposed to - post an update when there is something important going on. You don't have to do it every day, just when something happens.
For example, the rebranding as Maieuticoin - Twitter post and link to details. The MMXIV raffle - Twitter post. The BTC raffle - post.
Post these ONCE. If you don't post anything for two days that's fine - it just means there's no news to report. Don't spam them every hour, it's just annoying as hell. Your followers all received a notification and saw the post the first time you did it. Repeating it over and over again every hour isn't going to encourage them to read it again, it just encourages them to click the "unfollow" button. If you were getting the same four emails from someone every hour every day you'd be pissed and unsubscribe.

Twitter is not the place to follow or message for support. The forums here and IRC are the two places to get assistance. Anything else is just a marketing tool that will be spammed to oblivion Maybe I'll set up another one to use for updates, but @PurePoS already has tons of shit loaded into it to spam advertisements. It helped sell out the raffle in under 6 days when the last one took over 3 weeks Those companies you mention also pay people to monitor one or two things. There are like 3 of us doing everything for Maieuticoin without much help

If I threw 1.1th to the sha what kind of Roi estimation would I get? Depends on if the pool operator is on vacation or not. #SinglePointOfFailure #LongestPoolShiftEver

If I threw 1.1th to the sha what kind of Roi estimation would I get? It varies quite a bit, mostly because the price of MMXIV varies quite a bit. Back when the pool was making regular daily payouts I would get between 2 and 5 MMXIV per day with 1.2TH The pool does not automatically perform payouts, so ThePeePs has to do them manually each day. He's been out of town the past week and even when he's around, it doesn't always happen every day. I don't think he's scamming anyone - you will get paid, just can't say for sure long it will take.
