We're under no obligation to give you an ETA. Why would you expect one? You've got no idea how many variables this depends on.

It's not only professional to not give one, it would be irresponsible, thus unprofessional, to wantonly give dates without being 100% certain we couldn't keep our word.

The big public bounty is around Rev 3.

Is rev2 out and working on mainnet? If it is im not sure than many people are aware of that fact mate? And if it is I "thought" we were going to use some of the bounty to promote it.. I may be way off here? I think im still confused from the REV 2 release day ! lol

Yes Rev 2 has been implemented since 7/7/14, and has been on mainnet for weeks.

The paid PR will go out when Rev 2's UI update and yet-to-be-announced "Xnode update" tech is done.

It's completely understandable. Look, if they are making a new secure feature for anon that's yet to be announced, if its a new key feature, another world first for example, a public bounty would have allot more impact alongside its release, as well as with a PR campaign.

Business wise it makes perfect sense.

I've just told you guys that the public bounty is a Rev 3 thing. Did you not see it?

It's been a Rev 3 thing since we released the previous roadmap. I don't know how many times I've mentioned this.

Here's how it works:

- we release Rev 3 as an official public launch.

- thus we declare Rev 3 ready for general public use

- and to prove it we have a big bounty for anyone who can provably break XC's privacy.

Make sense now why it's stupid to offer a bounty before then? We'd have neither a completed app nor a reason to prove it.

I do think some people have very high expectations of the XC team in terms of wanting constant assurance, updates, deadlines, road maps etc. It's literally on every page.

The XC team have proven themselves time and again. Be patient and do your research. If you have a twitchy finger or fancy yourself as a day trader who can make money and you want to sell, then fine. If you want to wait on the sidelines and see what will happen, that's also fine. Ultimately though, the XC platform is just going to go from strength to strength so unless BTC crashes, XC is only going to surge in price in the coming months.

Sure. I'm ok with broad estimates. The dev team have pushed themselves so hard of late that they haven't been in a position to assess timescales.

Something that would be really awesome was if this tread wasn't the most active place to discuss XC. Reddit is a ghost town I post what I can and answer questions but really no one is there. XC forums are nice from time to time but this site takes the cake for activity and IMHO that is a problem things just get lost in 800+ pages. For example of activity the updated roadmap is not yet on twitter, facebook, xc-forums or reddit. This is just me talking from what I have seen and have been following and want nothing but for XC to be THE crypto currency. Would it be so difficult to have reddit, facebook, twitter, XC forums and bitcointalk open in different tabs and post updates simultaneously to all?

I hope this is coming off as constructive criticism that is all it is meant to be I am just frustrated because I hate this forum being the place to go. I have kept up with this page from the OP and the pre moderated OP so I am pretty sure I have read every single post and can tell things get lost in the clutter. Is this just me what do the other members think or prefer? Personally reddit is my favorite place to go, topics are clear and conversations are easy to keep organized.

No, please don't. Release dates create speculation bubbles, this in turn creates volatility and ultimately discontent. Lets just enjoy the fact we have an excellent team working on an excellent project and enjoy the steady rise in value.

Anyways, Keep up the great work synechist. It was a great idea to employ you and your doing an excellent job, as are the rest of the team. Im really looking forward to Rev 2.5 and then Rev 3. Current belief is a value of $25 million to coincide with the latter and its subsequent PR, this doesn't include any potential bitcoin bubble either.

Really happy with everything that's going on here. Hopefully once I'm done on my travels I can come meet you guys in person at one of the conferences to express our gratitude.
